All are great! The one i would really like to make when i get my bedroom more tidy is tte one you made for the kitchen. I make a lot of my jewelry and this oukd be great for my necklaces. Also i woyld like to make a couple to take to my craft sales for tge necklaces to hang. I think this is a super idea! In my kitchen i hage very little room so i keep all my spatulas and mixing spoons in an antique crock of my Mom's. I do like the zip tie zipper pouches an idea for my card making embelishments but i would like to figure out how to make them more up and down rather than in a slant. Maybe if the base was higher up somehow it woukd be cool such as on a block of wood with those U shaped nails hammered down over the metal part of the towel rod base. Make it higher sonehow and cut a wood round tge circumphrance of tge pie pan. The plastic lazy susan tye Dollsr Tree now sells for spices may be an idea. I am interested in your ribbon organizer as i use lots of ribbon and fir now just have tgem in plastic storage boxes with holes threw at each end and wood dowels from end to end with the ribbon inside. I couldn't quite see how you pulled the ribbon out and it looked like you could only store 8 rolls total. Your ribbon holder woukd be great for dowel rods, paint brushes, makr up brushes also. Great mind invents great solutions. Hage yiu vone up with an idea for tte square you took off tye bird feeder? I woukd hook all together and hang it up and use for dangly earrings the kinds with fish hooks style. Blessings, Rebekah

Mam, I am so proud of you! I saw one of your videos two weeks ago when you showed us the spare bedroom and thats my living room. I wrote to you that my goal was to have the living room fixed up by July 4th so I can decorate. Tge holiday came and went. My dining room table has tons on it from my move in Feb. Im guilty as my Dad can for a meal. My boyfriend and I go out for his bday dinner and then he goes home as there is no place to sit in my living room. My Mom left all to me and i was hoping to huy out my siblings so i could stay living at my Moms but, my sister wanted to make lots of money and i had to leave. During covid many apartments not taking on new residents and all I could find was an efficiency. I woek 11 hour days on my feet most days with a disabled leg. I get home and no energy to work on my place. Now Friday, July 5th get home from work to find we all recd letters taped to our doors an investment company is coming to take a tour of apartments randomly. Management doesnt know ehat apartments will be looked at. Inspection will be the 10th. I lookrd ariund and started to cry and said out loud OH JESUS PLEASE HELP ME. It is 97 degrees in Northern VA today. I do not have AC in my kitchen, bathroom, hallway. All I feel kike i am doing is moving stuff to another room. I have 2 small closets and thats it. I have 3 kitchen cabinets only. Pots and pans are in the fridge and food canned goods etc in the oven. I have one small kitchen counter. I cannot take off work this week my vac is in August with my Dad. Tge letter said there cannot be anything in front of the windows or we will be in violation of agate. Im doomed! My couch is in front of the living room window and in my bedroom is my sewing machine cabinet i have no other place for either. I pray they do not pick my place. Tomorrow morning i will work on my living room befire i drive to work at 7. When I come home i will work all thru tge night and same on Tuesday night. I donated all my things once i found out my Mom left all her furniture to me. Her wishes were gor all her beautiful suits and blouses to be donated to the group of women leaving the military pr going back into tge work force. I kept sone of tye blouses I gave her and her sundresses as we were the same size. I too have tons of crafts and no craft space until i can buy a home and prices ate so high in VA who knows when that will be. Tye head if sunday school said o can donate craft suppkies to tte church for tge children which i am happy about. Seeing your craft room and yiur progress has inspired me greatky. I am sorry for all the typos i hage tried to catch many. I have an old phone and i have bad carpal tunnel . The milk crates are a great idea. I live on tte 3rd floor, mo elevator so easy yo carry down. I think lots will be going into my trunk tomorrow night. Also i can out milk crares on their side and wire tie them together and stand on end or put on tge end of my bed and put fabric in there. All my fabric are in heafty bags. I am excited abiut this idea now. See, this video helped me. Blessings, Rebekah

An additional aspect of clutter control is not bringing anything else in the house. Allow yourself only 5 or so projects to work on and the supplies involving them. Get rid of old supplies for projects you know you aren't as interested in anymore. Having all these lingering projects staring at you to be done is overwhelming. Only having a handful and just working on those feels manageable and rewarding!

You’re doing amazing! Feel proud of every little thing you sort, clean , declutter, donate! Take each day at a time and don’t over push yourself. Set realistic expectations each day, I know it’s hard, maybe do a journal each morning and night, write down the small challenges/tasks for the day, then at night either tick it of the list or write down your accomplishments for that day. Sometimes seeing it written on paper makes you realise how far you’ve come! Setting little goals to get to that big goal, so you focus on the smaller parts of that end goal, helps to focus better. Don’t forget to make time for yourself and to reward yourself for the hard work, you don’t want to burn yourself out! Take care x

Finishing your whole house will take time. Be happy with yourself with w in at you do finish. Look it as what all you have accomplished, not as what all needs to be done yet. I have started to be a lot more deliberate with what I purchase at the thrift store when I go.

My dear, you are too hard on yourself. Rome was not built in a day. Take your time. Your goal will be met. You are still grieving, and that's one thing you must try not to dwell on for too long. It's not easy. I still hurt over my mom's passing and that was in 10/2013, and I still cry at times. Then I think of how she would feel if she saw me crying, and I snap out of it. Think of the beautiful memories with your Mom. She would want you to be well, happy, and not feeling depressed or sick. You are awesome. You are talented, and you are beautiful just like your Mom was and just like your sister. We love you here in Brooklyn, NY ❤

This is what I had been working on with me. To set my priorities down on paper to focus on for the day. Then make an extra things to do list, not huge or long list. Just things that I know that I can accomplish, on a good day for me. Because sometimes I get things done on a good day and then I am like ok what else can I work on. Looking at he list I can decide what I want to work on. I like to write the day that I get them done, so after I am done with that extra to do list. Then I can decide what other extra to do list to put down on paper. It is not setting me up for failure, just to keep my mind occupied.

Give yourself grace sweetie. As women we forget to give ourselves the grace to say it's ok and it's getting better. We expect so much of ourselves that we create stress and pain in the process. You're doing great just by starting! Enjoy each step you take and not just the outcome. God bless! ❤

It's a marathon, not a sprint. You're smart to keep reasonable expectations and just keep at it little by little so you don't get burned out and then abandon the project altogether. You didn't ask for any of this and none of it is of your own making. Don't ever forget that.

Keep on going! You can do this! One small 'bite' at a time. Make your goals short-term, small, and doable. When you've accomplished that 1 thing, he proud and happy because it's always a step in the right direction. I know that looking at the 'whole thing' can be very discouraging and overwhelming. You must focus on what's been accomplished and be motivated by that. You can do this!😊👍❤🤗💕

We all live in our homes daily and even when we finally do think we have everything in its place something changes, like we find a better system or we get rid of or add something. Our homes are always going to be a work in progress. Just like laundry 🧺 the minute we have everything washed, dried, folded and put away and think we are done and you realize the clothes you are wearing and every other member of the household is the start of the next hamper full of clothes to start the never ending cycle. Don’t beat yourself up over thinking everything has to be done in one day, I know you know this. We have to count our blessings that we do have a home that at times becomes messy or out of order, but that means we are living in it and hopefully enjoying we have. You have mentioned having some OCD tendencies and I don’t personally know how that plays into struggles with thinking it must be all done in a day or you get down on yourself but you’re doing great with the progress you have made and continue to take just one bag or box at a time and you will get to the point where you feel that the clutter is gone both from the rooms and your mind. You’ve got this! ❤️

Set a timer (whatever time you can REALISTICALLY spend on decluttering), and ONLY work on decluttering during that time. Even if it’s only 15 minutes a day, STOP as soon as the timer goes off. You will feel good about yourself because you set a goal and accomplished that goal. Slowly but surely everything will be decluttered.

Congratulations on starting your decluttering of your craft room. I have moved out of my bedroom cos I have too much never to be used paper crafting products. I go to start clearing but turn and leave it's just too much. So I think you should be proud of yourself. It's taken a lot of time to be full so it will take a while to organise . Take care and have a good weekend 🤗🇬🇧

Maybe.... think of the next season. Look through the things you have of your mom's and decide what you can use. Set those aside and ask your husband to donate the rest or ask friends and family if they want them. Not sure about your kids ages but pick an item fir each to keep. It will get better. Break things down into what YOU really like and let rest go. Your mom would NEVER want you to be burdened and would say its okay to let go. You will have clarity to grieve and embrace her within when the stress of her stuff is cleared. Saying this I still say give it time. Make a memory book, take pics of her stuff then let it go to someone who will be so blessed to have it.

That's great bravery - you inspire myself and I'm certain you'll inspire many others. 💌 You have inspired me so much to try to move more and get rid of the clutter. I went through this. As time goes the things became less of who they were. I began realizing they are a part of me and the stuff was easier to let go. Give yourself grace and time. You are still grieving. Hugs
