Salut à tous. My wife and I have travelled 4 times to this superb island of Corvo and twice the only pax on board. We are fanatic of the Azores and did visit all 9 islands of the archipelago. We are for the last 52 years good clients of Sata AirAçores... Have visited 25 times the Azores. Francine and Andrew, Montréal, Canada

I love static takeoffs. This video reminded me about the times, I experienced this while flying on the ATR and Dash-8 in certain Caribbean islands.

That plane for 3 or 4 passengers? 😅 Nice little airport. I already tried it in the Flightsimulator! It's challenging.

Yes, it is nice to go on SATA`s Q200. I did several flights on them. The static take off on Corvo is nice, thats true. But thed don`t doo it every times. I saw already videos, where the just pervormed a normal take off. Anyhow, the Q200 is most of the time in 500 m (1.600 ft) in the air. I made two years ago the full trip from Ponta Delgada via Horta and Corvo to Flores and back. This was a nice fun day. But the real fun is, when you go in the winter with bad weather with the Q200 on tour. Often then the flights end in Horta and do not continue to Corvo and Flores.
