Thanks Gagan for bringing this up. I have stopped throttle body cleaning since last five years. There is also ISA cleaning scam in Hyundai. Also ASC used to force engine flush which is stopped across Hyundai since last 2 years. Break cleaning and calliper pin greasing is also easy and can be done in 15-20 min with right tools. They charge consumables as 600 rs where as it need only 100 rs consumables. Full loot hay ASC service. Poor non tech guy would end up spending 8 k for car like i10 for normal service.

Very informative....maruti service center asked me for 1000 rs for 800 Alto. I caught them red handed by spray only small and then after back to Home i complained about them. They came to my home with new throttle body cleaner gave me one complementary wax polish For removing the complaint.

Gagan sir following you from last more than 1year, these types of videos are really helpful,,,got throttle body cleaned for the 1st time at 60k km of my Honda brio but didn’t felt any difference though paid about RS 2k which seems wasted also service centre was suggesting for injector cleaning please make a video on this as well

A great info for all of you guys... Never never spary throttle cleaner without removing throttle body... Cz when you spary when it attach to car, all dust/carbon goes to intake manifold and as well as to spark plug and oxygen... I try this method once after that i checked my spark plugs and oxygen sensor they all get dirty enough...

A throttle body is a valve located between the air intake filter and the intake manifold. It regulates how much air can go into the engine, based on driver input through the pedal. As more air flows into the engine, it injects more fuel, thus allowing for more power.

Regular Throttle body cleaning is also important specially for BSIV and BSVI vehicles otherwise the vehicle won’t clear pollution test. I will with my experience say that it should be done once a year.

Good knowledge but some throttle need proper cleaning and you have to open and clean properly many times when you direct spray to throttle body it’s dangerous for intake valve car will start missing. So better idea is you purchase throttle cleaning spray and give your car mechanic and clean by professional . This is just a good suggestion. Thanks 🙏

hi gagan i have been watching your videos about cars which are very helpful. i have bought next generation verna in black colour 6 months back, what i see there are some small bubbles in car paint on some parts, its like the top layer are getiing removed in very minute bubbles. i have talked to koncept hyundai about it. They might offer a car repaint on the parts where the paint is vanishing but since i saw your last video you the said if the car is repaint it wont give the same gloss like the first one. what should i do in this case?

I use o do it through a clean cloth and open the throttle and clean it. Will try this cleaner now..

It's better to remove TB and clean it thoroughly : that also avoids all the dissolved deposits going IN to the intake. On some cars like my vw, it's needed to relearn the TB full, close and half positions. This can either be done by opening and closing throttle few times without ignition or through a scanner. BTW TB clean is not usually suggested in most service manuals

I asked in Tata service centre if they will clean throttle body and MAF sensor as well during service or if I ask them to. The SA refused. Also in the owner's manual service schedule there is no mention of throttle body anywhere. I checked Tiago's and Nexon's user manual. This most likely means that Tata does not recommend any service/cleaning/touching of the throttle body. Timely change of air filter should suffice.

I have Chevrolet sail.I got Increase in RPM on neutral mode . Engine usually got stopped while driving when I was using AC. Problem solved after cleaning throttle body.
