In this episode, I complete the grille project. The final stainless steel parts get fabricated, the grilles get mounted and we close out the project...and after months of work, it feels GOOD.

The small details are 10% of the job but 90% of the work. They are also the difference between a job well done and a job half arsed. You've done a tremendous job with the grill, it probably looks better now than the original. You're right to knock out the tedious jobs first then the rest won't be as big of a chore. I admire your dedication to this project.

Hey Bud, great video as usual! I did say it months (or even years?) ago but i feel the need to say it again: I love your channel! I didnt know that this car even exists before i found out about you and honestly, i dont really like the look of the car, but what i like is cars (and the technic and culture) behind it. Even if somebody would make a project about the "uglyiest" car on earth, i would like it because he is doing something! The love, money, time and nerves you invest and show in this project are stunning! I cant wait for the next video! And to your worries that something could happend to the grill (i.e. a car crash), that is only the case you ever get to finish the project🤣 Keep it up und tell us if you need something we could help with!

I made a Kustom stainless steel radiator cover for my GMC SUBURBAN. It came out better than I thought it would looked store bought. The one's they sold were chrome plated. I didn't want chrome plated because it pits after after a while being under the hood. I like how you sand and buff the stainless out to make it look like chrome. A friend of mine redone all his stainless trim in his 1959 impala sanded and buffed all his trim to look brand new on a freshly painted car. That was my first time ever seen it done. Takes plenty of time to not bend anything in the buffer.

Re the surface of your beautiful polished SS grills, you might look into a clear protectant (not a paint) called Nyalic. I'm not 100% sure if this is the right use case, but I've certainly used it with great luck (against air contaminants & long term corrosion) on raw metal surfaces - from aluminum to steel & electrocoated surfaces. It's often used on metals in marine environments.
