The empty private mooring on the left at 7.44 is where I found my beautiful new boat last year....thanks for sharing this

A lovely quiet peaceful cruise along the T and M. I see it is the time of year once again for all the Air Shows for which Rugeley is Hugely noted. Well done.

This is actually a very useful, detailed and informative canal guide, with details that other guides don't always give you- e.g. about the prevalence of local youths who might cause a nuisance closer to urban areas, possible complications in accessing nearby shops which a map won't always show, plus general advice ('if you see a great spot with no moored boats, be extra careful as there is usually a reason'). Maybe you could retitle/repackage some of these as actual Guides? For example: 'Canal Guides- The Trent and Mersey - part 6' I'm just thinking people might be looking for that kind of thing, and it might get more views etc.

Lovely video Phil...brings back our trip along there...I’d quite forgotten much of it. We went a wee but further than you and moored up just after the aqueduct that is a few bends in front of where you stopped...very quiet and no barking dogs...! Looking forward to the next installment.🍷🍷

Loved the video but that was a bit sad to watch, most of that development has taken place over the last 15 years and when I used to go fishing up there it was a semi mixture of countryside and the odd bit of old industry. Now it just looks like housing estate after housing estate. But, let's be honest, if it wasn't for housing estates we wouldn't appreceate the countryside so much now would we... and they have shops.

Nice video again. I was wondering if you've ever encountered any negative feeling from long term canal boaters for producing such detailed videos? I suppose that goes for all other canal channels on KZfaq too. My friend once produced a detailed video about the best fishing spots in his home country of Ireland much to the displeasure of other river users. I guess they didn't want to best spots revealed .

No, there's nothing secret about long-term moorings. They're there for all the world to see. Look them up on the CRT website.
