Really happy to see Pit Of Peril. One of my all time fave Thunderbirds episodes. Still trying to get used to the new format of the show. Glad to see the Pod numbers being reinstated. Not sure about having the interviews with the guests so broken up. Personally I feel it spoiled the flow of the interview a lot when you get such an engaging gust as Marc Silk.

"Pit Of Peril" is one of the most exciting episodes of THUNDERBIRDS' early run, despite it's lack of female characters, it still delivers on action, and intrigue!

Not mentioned over the credits: the fact that the Mole makes its debut there, having not appeared in "Trapped in the Sky". I remember being slightly disappointed when I watched the 1990s run that none of the subsequent pod vehicles made the credits after their debut appearance

Great episode (directed by Des Saunders) good set of documentaries (to celebrate Gerry Anderson Day) look forward to the next podcast.

The TV camera noise sounds like the noise of the ray indicator in Sun Probe.

I think the main issue with the Mole is that it doesn't seem to have a way to dispose of the material it digs out. Comparable tunnelling machines have a whole water supply and pipeline connected to it to constantly flush material away and get it out of the tunnel.

I thought that you criticised Night Network for splitting up episodes of Captain Scarlet. At least that wasn't like watching a dreadful episode of Gogglebox at the same time.

I give it a 5 out 5, I think you guys are being a bit too harsh. But great you watched it and we got to see it. Why my rating? Because I think the 'Sidewinder' alone as a vehicle and model is very unique, nothing like it would have existed prior, not until 'The Empire Strikes back' did we have anything like an 'Imperial Walker'; plus the story despite padding. I don't think 'padding' would have been noticed or have had any affect at the time, it was slower then and it would have been just great to watch the episode unfold from a kids perspective. Padding or similar is an adult thing/concept. Have fun.
