In this video I show you how to make the Arrma Vorteks 3s the toughest basher ever! We install the RC MadLabz chassis brace kit and send this truck to the moon! The Vorteks takes unbelievable landings off the death ramp and even has a concrete chassis slam! It is no surprise that the chassis is still in perfect condition with this RC MadLabz Chassis brace on here! The only breakage was a shock rod end. Stay tuned for part 2 where we will install the shim kit, shock brace kit, shock bump kit, and 6s typhoon shocks! I will soon install the Arrma Typon 6s shocks and that shock breakage will never happen again. This kit is amazing guys and you can go check him out on eBay! They're epic mods for making the Vorkeks tough. They're a great basher once modified, I find the A arms, driveshafts and clutch plate spline weak on them too. Keep the great vids coming 💪

The fact that the washer didn’t go inside that little hex isn’t anything to think twice about, because that hex is holding it in place regardless… preventing any turning whatsoever. Great video as always man!

Cool Vid from you again. I put the same Shocks on my Granite, they are good but not perfect. One thing on the 3s Series from Arrma ist the plastic Drivetrain. I will change it to metall if the parts are all available here in Germany. One Tipp for you. When you are soldering the XT90 Plug - put the other Plug (with no wires) in. Because of this the heat of the soldering goes to the other plug and the risk of melting the case of the plug is not so big. Hope you know what i mean, because of my bad english.

Nice brother. Did you buy another one? Mine kept on breaking with the electronics and stuff but think about selling it and I decided or forced my way to keep it. And now I love it. Not bad for Amazon Shocks I bet they would have lasted if not landing on cement. I think the shock shafts are thicker on Vorteks in comparison too the Granite maybe those new bump stops will work good on stock shocks. Man I knew I should have bought one of these RC’s when I had the chance way cheaper than a Rustler Cheers 🍻 brother

This is what can be expected when only using the part of our kit,>>absolutely no disrespect to Thunder rc. (It’s partly my fault, We are still changing instructions and small things… “my instructions do not clarify to install the shim kit 1st). *When you combine all aspects of the kits, the components work together.

@@bubblesrcshed I know… if you pause the video when he does the slo-mo(14:42 “ish”)…you can see the right rear tire turn in/flex almost 45 degrees. *As for the front shock blow out, “snapping clean at the rod end”….the shock experienced a different motion than designed(up/down). **The shim kit And Bump stops, minimize twisting of parts, and add a small extra cushion, which really helps save components.

Heads up. The shock tower braces for the Vorteks won’t fit. Dan from Madlabz is working on a fix right now. He’s a great dude to deal with. Stand up guy for sure and the kit makes your RC a beast!

Thanks guys. (Sorry for the mistake) *I own 3 of the 7 models the kits work on and when designing the kits….I made a mistake and didn’t see the difference in the exploded view parts print outs. (Just waiting for the brand new Vorteks shock towers to arrive so I can make a template, create the right design braces.) **These will be sent out the minute I have them finished. ✌️

I've done this 2 tears on all my 3S, I used 1/4 inch Lexan, and ZD Racing 1/8th shocks ($32 for all 4 on Amazon) and never break anything

@@thunderrc Ive used them for years, even on asphalt, the are a hidden jem, when I eun one of my 6s shocks i'll go with these also, i'm not paying $140 for 4 shocks with no springs, just dont get the 1/10th, they too small, get the 1/8th even if putting on a 3S, I cant even break the shock bottoms and the oil that comes with them is OK, but you can make it thicker if ya want. i have a 4S kraton and 4 3S lines, they are on all of them, can break arms and such, just have yet to break one of these shocks

@@thunderrc I 2nd the ZD 1/8 scale shocks. They might be a bit long for the Vorteks but you can always shorten them. I have them on my Big Rock.

@@thunderrc…we have tested these same eBay shocks.(they come in two versions, one with plastic lower ends, one with aluminum…same company/shock set). *These do work, however…on the LWB chassis, like the BigRock.(they are not enough). On a Typhon 3s, they work.(it’s overall weight is lighter). **Watch my vids, to see how to save $$ on the best option, 6s shocks.
