I think she’s wrong about that. Olive oil was THE cooking oil, not just in Greece and Rome, but in Israel. It’s mentioned in many places in the Bible. Yes, it was also used as a lamp oil, and even a sexual lubricant, but there was not any other oil so easily available. The highest grade was costly and was used as a prize in athletic games. But the widow woman who made pancakes for a prophet, had only two things left in her kitchen: flour and oil. Then he provided her a large supply of oil, enough to sell. That was olive oil. Ask any Biblical scholar.

This is a good question. It comes up frequently ~ I am not the thyroid expert, Dr. Bright is and you may want to consider working with her. I have done very well on an animal-based diet and I am healing my thyroid. Carbs are non-essential so it doesn’t make sense that we “need” them for anything in the body. As an anxiety & stress doc, I have my clients base nutrition decisions based on how they feel. Lots of trial and error.

She does say that. Hard to believe when we’re going through what seems like perimenopause. She explains more in her book.

A neurologist i saw in 2019 for back pain contacted me after my appointment & told me i had hyperthyroidism that my t4 was to high & needed medication to go to my general practitioner for meds. I did go to practitioner a 60 something woman who retired & was on thyroid meds, so i transferred my care to a young twit about 35 yo & refuses to believe me bc of what she said was in my record? I know what the doctor said who did not have to contact me she said hyperthyroidism & i dont know what she put in my record. My new doctor doesn't want me to have any blood work i have high blood pressure & for some reason high pulse since 2019, but iam not being treated for my high bp or pulse? I dont know what is wrong with these young doctors but she refuses to treat symptoms?? I would like my blood pressure, pulse, non alcohol fatty liver disease treated but nit wit child doctor refuses to treat anything prior to me coming to her.

Look for a doctor that follows through on your wishes. You may have to search long and hard but it’s possible… all the best

That sounds so frustrating! You definitely deserve a doc that listens to you and honors your wishes. Dr. Bright does virtual consultations if you ever want to talk with her.

Hey I had normal bloods A goitre the size of grapefruit I wish I could share photos I researched myself I have resistance to T3 at peripheral level I have to flood the receptor sites with z T3 so hypothyroid I was given t 4 It has to convert to T3 However , if I am resistant at cellular level My bloods mean nothing I need 8 times T3 as prior to pregnancy It is genetic My mum My daughter got the goiter at puberty She is okay 29 But so was I We are both naturally on the slim side Not thin I did go through hyper period . Japan California rolls after dance show nightly Seaweed is all iodine Iodine overload made me over active but didn’t affect heart greatly Sweating Weight loss My hypo post pregnancy was horrific I had every symptom Round face , puffy but the dry scaly skin I have soft velvety skin Halr loss Feeling cold p Low low pulse So increased T3 gradually I take 8x 20 mcg Liothyronine , T3 daily I adjust tweej according to heat / cold season Or activity like ballet , need tad more I think many women have undiagnosed hypothyroidism !
