Considering they just fired the president of WDI and when Bob Iger went on a tour of the attraction the lead Imagineer was not present, I'd say there is an internal conflict that reflects how good this reimagined attraction actually is. The consensus is that nobody is pleased, and that one of the leads, Sherida Carter, is known best for projecting mapping; something that has objectively made attractions worse as Disney moves away from more expensive practical effects. There's something like 8 animatronics listed for Tiana's adventure (compared to Splash's incredible 105), most likely centered around two distinct scenes, and the rest is all just mapping? It's a 9 minute ride for christ's sake. I think it's going to be terrible, though not not as bad as say Ratatouille, but it will be akin to Frozen as it has the benefit of a great infrastructure from an attraction that people already loved and that shouldn't have been closed.

Thanks for the note. Lots to consider. There should be 17 animatronics developed for the attraction. But you're right, we know little about how they will be grouped and how projections might be used. But just for clarity, the president of WDI, Barbara Bouza (who has a background in architecture and planned developments--such as medical centers, the Netflix campus, etc) was largely brought in because her experience was valuable in developing Disney's Storyliving communities (in Palm Springs and North Carolina). I believe her departure speaks more to the future (or lack of future) of Storyliving and some other campus-like developments than to issues with developments for the park. This is not to say that there aren't issues with park developments, only that her role was more strongly directed at other projects.

@@DisneyHistory Storyliving isn't even a factor I thought about, that's a very good point. There's almost been nothing in the news about those projects. However the constructions of EPCOT's Communicore and surrounding hotel architecture I think have suffered as they went to a more global approach rather than =culturally distinct flavors WDI is known for (and is a leader in the industry for a reason). She may have just been a bad hire -- but I believe it was on Chapek's watch so I'll just leave it at that haha.

Maybe in 30 or 5 years after opening if it does bad Spalsh Mountain will return
