Hi someone gave me that but he made it its just bits of wood and just drill holes out for your drills to rest in

Hi Mark, nice bench. I'm thinking of making more or less the same myself. Can you tell me what timber the work top is made from and what dimensions it is.

Slick Roode hi it's a oak kitchen top I got mine off eBay they come in standard size. It's a really hard wood to cut so I had to have someone do it for me as I don't have the tools Hope that helps

Apologies for bothering you again. I'm a professional fly tier/lure maker (fishing related if you don't know) and when I contacted you previously it was around the time I had an idea to incorporate the jewellers/watchmakers bench for my own trade, as it a better design. I have finally completed my bench but I'm have trouble locating any info about, for what if a better description, the waste catcher that goes under your work area. What is it usually made of and can they be bought commercially? I'm assume I'm not finding any info because it's not called a waste catcher. Any help would be greatly appreciated Sir.

@@SlickRoode I know this is late, but maybe someone else might want to know. It is called a bench apron or a bench skin. It is typically made of leather.

Frank Loy hi I done a 5 year apprenticeship and the 2 year improvement witch is all standard for a traditional apprenticeship started in west end of London then moved with the company to Hatton garden
