Love the bubble wrap idea!!! The Magic Mat is to replace a clear plate so you don’t have to keep replacing warped plates! It can be reheated with an embossing gun to flatten it out over and over! 😁

Wow! That is probably the best tip I have ever heard of! I did buy the Magic mat, but my reason was to replace one of the clear plates that constantly warp! I’m very pleased with its performance. I do scrub it between projects with a dental toothbrush, as I do with the clear plates. I also turn it constantly, like we have been taught with the clear plates also. Thank you for your tip Tiffany! I look forward to your next one!😊

Great video Tiff! Try placing your dies diagonally then cut like Tim suggests. Rollers are pressure points.

I have a magic mat, and I love it with my Big Shot. I don't have a ton of experience with the manual die cutter, but I have not had problems with the dies not cutting all the way through. The magic mat is basically a self-healing mat sized specifically for die cutting machines. You don't end up with warped and cut up plates using the mat.

Fabric dryer sheets works well with the die cuts to make then release better, run them through with out paperthen try it normally. I'm a face down cutter too! Thanks for the Tiff's Tips!!! Do you flip your matts? I noticed it was warped. I have foind that it helps on mine. I wrote in black sharpie do not cut on the top matt. Tadah Tadah Tiff Tips

Agree 100% on the Cuttlebug!!!! Hope mine holds up for a long time yet.

In place of bubble wrap, I use the packaging foam sheets- Sizzix tip. Also, in the UK, they have something called 'poly pockets' or 'cut tidy' that takes the place of wax paper, and also, prevents harsh lines is cutting an edge/ aperture. Love hearing you get excited at these little things- enjoy your time off Tiffany! ❤

I got the same one from TM, the big shot express, lol omg mine is still in the box as well, used it once and I like it…. Just need room and to organize this mess lol 3:33 I have that too from TM , yea I need that magic mat….lol,I almost said magic Mike 🤦🏻‍♀️ Love tip video, cuz comments also have great tips. It’s best to, place die face up then paper, this really from die warping. I like using the wax paper and I like using a dryer sheet

I will have to try the bubblewrap! I have always just stuck layers of cardstock on top of the top plate to create more thickness. Looking forward to the TTT! ❤

I have had the original Big Shot for years and years and never have I had a die not cut. But if I ever do, I will remember this tip! Thanks for sharing it!

Awesome! I have a cuttle bug too, but have never seen another one, so thought i was alone. I assumed all of my issues were because i didn't know what I was doing. Thank you so much for this, plus i love those wax paper cut outs. I may use them, especially the Halloween ones!

Thank you for this video. TTT is a great idea. I also still use my Cuttlebug. It’s my favorite machine. I also have many dies I gave up on but I can’t wait to try this bubble wrap and wax paper idea.

The bubble wrap tip is genius! I’m going to have to save some bubble wrap next time I get some in the mail. Try the bubble wrap on top of the doe though, it may just need the thickness to help the die cut all the way through. And I have the magic mats. They’re nice cause they don’t warp but there’s been no change in the way my dies cut

Thank you for this! I have some stubborn dies that do this. I will definitely try the bubble wrap and wax paper. I don't have a magic mat, but I do use a cutting mat for my bottom plate. I had my husband cut a cheapie cutting mat from Hobby Lobby and I use a clear plate for the top. Totally saves my clear plates and makes them last longer.

Interesting and helpful. Would the dies still cut if you put the wax paper and bubble wrap on top of the die rather than underneath? I use my Cuttlebug everyday sometimes the casing falls off its that well used! Sometimes putting the die at an angle can help with tricky dies, other times it seems to be a case of trial and error. One thing I have noticed is that when my plate resembles a fruit bowl or so bent I can carry water in it then a new plate helps. As for die facing up or down I have never found out why it should make a difference, one of lifes mysteries I suppose.

And I'm back with an idea for a TTT. I got a brand new Scan & Cut this last summer at a garage sale. and I need some help! You mentioned once that you had one (in fact I thought you said you were using your brother's scan & cut and thought wow! What a nice brother) and I was thinking that would be a good video. What do you think?

Tiffany!! You beautiful genius!! I was so annoyed that I couldn’t get this Cricut acetate to cut out some of my shaker dies. I tried 2 layers of bubble wrap and the shim that came with my big shot and OMG 👀 Totally not me at 3am whisper-screaming “YESSSSS!!!”. Ok yes it’s me 😝 It worked!! You’re a lifesaver 🩷 TYSM
