I love it when Europe isn't the center of focus in these kinds of awards. Football is growing worldwide and many great players and leagues deserve recognition despite no TV deals.

I'm sorry but this lineup would get destroyed by so many European clubs. They are putting two strikers that haven't proven themselves in the toughest Leagues ahead of Halaand, Mbappe, Hary Kane, Osimhen, etc. I'll bet my nutsack that if those two strikers played in LA liga, Epl or Serie A, they won't even get half the numbers they are getting now. And they are putting an MLS star who's 5'3 ahead of the likes of De Bruyne, Bruno, Bernardo, Odegaard, Maddison, Pedri, etc. This is definitely not the Best XI. This is more like "Players that I think are the best"

I've been wishing Liverpool would sign him for 3-4 years now lol . The guy is the complete CB, great in the air, accurate long passer as you mentioned, leadership, tackler, playing out from the back etc and also left footed .

Loved the video and the format, but as a Fluminense supporter I must add that German Cano at 35 years have numbers comparable to Haaland and Mbappé. His performance at Fluminense it's astonishing and he has become a club's legend. It would be cool to see a "Best team of each continent (UEFA, CONMEBOL etc.)". LMFAOOOOOO you compared him to Haaland and Mbappe??? Buddy the Brazilian league is EXTREMELY WEAK compared to Europe’s Top 5 leagues. You can even say Portuguese and Dutch leagues are stronger too. That’s why you guys can never win the club World Cup, because only European clubs do

@@Mark-in4fr Welp, just reviewing the champions of the club World Cup says that you are lying. Brazilian teams have won the club World Cup. In fact, the first three times in a row they did. Chelsea also lost to a Brazilian side in 2012, and they almost lost again in 2021. I agree comparing him to Haaland and Mbappe is wrong, but I think you are mislead.

I think di marco is a really solid honorable mention for the left back position.. He had a break-out 2022-23 and he's by far one of the most offensively gifted full-backs in the world right now

Yeah but it's Suarez. Man's an absolute baller and a legend, so him winning a vote is kinda obvious. Not to detract from his performance, one of the best strikers ever at his peak and still an absolute monster

This TOTY refers to all leagues and has a variety of players, showing that you really care about what you're doing and do a lot of research but I don't think players who got their first impressive season will be compared to European giants. I mean, Kane will obviously have a part in the attack, other skilful wingers too etc. The team is creative but extremely hard to actually happen.

As a Feyenoord fan I have to say that Santi is great, but Hancko has just been so solid. He plays 90 minutes every game and rarely makes mistakes.

Both Hancko and Giménez really stood out this calender year. Both would've been great in this team. Though I can't name a defender from the J-League you'd need to complete the switch. Or play a very attacking 3-4-3...

Yes, but you have to understand that football has never been as stat-driven as it is today. Coaches (and supporters) want "stable" players. Pote has definitely been consistent this year, while on others... he was a genius with (frequent) drops. He seems worse because he's been less awe-inspiring, and as such he elevates those around him... far less. That elevation is now provided by Gyökeres: one of the best players around at the moment. Undeniably so. There is a world beyond raw stats.

As an FC Cincinnati fan Lucho Acosta has been amazing for us. For those who don’t know when we got into the league in 2015 we were dead last 3 seasons in a row. 2021-2022 season helped us make our first ever playoff appearance and obviously this year he’s set the caliber for what we want our club to be he’s like a mini Messi and pretty sure they are decent friends as well

This video is great because it highlights those that do not have the luxury of being in a wealthy club that tends to win trophies. For the vast majority of teams now, it's no longer about winning trophies, but just having a good season. What that says about modern football is a much larger topic, but it's always good to highlight the outstanding players who have also done excellent.

I would put aldeweireld over him. He has been superb for Antwerp. Sorry for the spelling. I like grabara in goal though and other shouts. Solid team

Leandro Morgalla of now Red Bull Salzburg could've been a shout Started 2023 at 1860 München in the 3.Liga as a 17 year old and bossed the league leading to a team of the season choice in the 3. Liga. He now plays in the Austrian first division and the Champions League BUT I'm also an 1860 fan so maybe a bit bias

Picking a Eredivisie player in the wrong position when Santi Gimenez has been sensational this year is just wrong. You talk about improvement being a huge factor, Gimenez scored just 7 league goals in 2022. The man has over 30 in 2023 and in a new league. There is absolutely no reason to not include him in this list.

Hancko plays left back for his country, so it isn't totally out of position. He also has played at least some minutes at left back for feyenoord. Gimenez is a star but Hancko is probably almost as important for Feyenoord

Pedro Gonçalves from Sporting has not been having a great year, I think there were better picks, like João Neves, or Gyokeres (even if only for half a year, he has been instrumental for sporting)

Dear Tifo Football Creators , please restart the Sensible Transfers series . As a regular viewer it helped me to know more about the tactical and technical aspects of football⚽ and how does a team sign a player and what all qualities a certain team wants from a player when they sign him.

Last year's FIFA Team of the year was Messi, Benzema, Mbappé, de Bruyne, Modrić, Bellingham, Hernández, van Dijk, Militão, Hakimi and Courtois, with Haaland being the 12th player. Only 3 players are from the PL, 4 from La Liga (all of them from Real Madrid), 3 from Ligue 1 (all PSG), 1 from Bundesliga and Serie A. So Premier league isn't as overrated as you think it is.

Would've made more sense to add Hidemasa Morita instead of Pote for the 8 role so Jude can play farther up more freely. I'm almost certain Morita's transition dribbling and defensive statistics are far superior to Pote's for this year as a whole.
