It's Fiesta time in Tigbauan Iloilo where the energy never seems to stop. A small but vibrant town with great leadership both matured and young. This small town is full of history and is proud of it. Not too big to get lost in and not too small that you have to go elsewhere for your needs.
Today we wanted to share this jewel with you again. Maybe if you want away from the big city but still be within a quick travel back to it you might want to look at Tigbauan as a future home for you.
We are a Fil Am couple sharing our lives between living in Texas USA and Iloilo City on Panay Island Philippines. We share dealing with two different cultures, building our solid concrete cast in place home beach side and exploring/ seeking new things. We hope you enjoy and join to be part of a bigger family here on this channel.

ANDOKS MONAK CHICKEN !! I had that in Cebu years ago. MASARAP, Talaga !! Beautitul little city there there, looks Clean and well kept. Love the little Carnival too.I really Enjoyed watching this, that Poor Ginea Pig spinning on that Wheel, L-O-L !! Fun vlog James, Thank You. :)

These little carnivals are a step back in time. Such simple fun and every town seems to have one. My wife won’t ride anything but I don’t anymore either. I love watching the kids enjoying it and remembering my time! I think your buddy was an airman not a soldier.

Good thing no PETA there’re. Nice little town. Maybe what we been searching for. Hope to visit in march. Would be interested in renting your apartment but don’t know how to contact you . Our anniversary is in March 47 years with my wife Rose.

Hey James, a couple questions about the bamboo fencing you have down the side of your property. We are thinking about doing a perimeter wall of bamboo at our fish pond and I’m just wondering about lifespan of the bamboo it is there a way of painting it with varnish or lacquer, or something to protect it longer.

You will get just a few years out of ordinary thin wall bamboo. Painting dont help. Now the thick solid bamboo will last a long time especially if treated with solignum ( termite treatment ) on the ends. Problem there is its more costly and not always so straight. After about 5 years we know it will be replaced. 40 foot stick of bamboo is less than $2 and make many pieces. even the old bamboo we repurpose or it becomes firewood for the locals. used to the last drop

I have a bamboo fence around my property. They do sell a lacquer that you paint on it becomes shiny. They use it on the bamboo furniture they sell. They say it will last 20 years or more with that finish on it. Mine has only been up a year good so far.
