It was a cool, pleasant morning when Choti Tara, the tigress, decided to leave her cubs in the shade and go for her meal. She spotted a few boars busy eating by the water body and tiptoed in from behind some tall grass. She picked the boar who was closest to her. Unfortunately though, the wind was blowing in the direction of the boar and he spotted her presence and quickly left the place. We were so damn disappointed after all the build up. She went back into the grass and we couldnt see her anymore. This lasted about 20 mInutes. What footage you are watching is when suddenly she came out again and went for the kill. There was a different boar this time around and clearly the poor guy had no idea he was going to be socked so bad. Sorry for the shaky footage.

Wow. He filmed it from start to end and all us got to see a full length tiger hunting and killing a wild boar. Search another tiger hunt on board you get a BBC's video filmed with probably $20000k camera. No shake , but they missed the whole hunt scene, all you see is a tiger feasting on a dead pig. This is much better than that any day. Also it is incredible hard not to have shakes while holding a telephoto lens with camera or zoom lens with camera.

Unfortunately, wild boars don't know anything about joining forces. There were two more wild boars in the background. Had they joined forces they could have easily frustrated the tiger's attack.

The one the tigress killed was a huge massive bull The smaller ones are probably adult females ..no chance in front of tiger ..if they want to interfere , it would be a lot easy for the tiger to kill smaller ones I have seen another video a tiger silence the boar resting in waterhole within few seconds. Here it struggled that much cause it's a massive bull almost same size the tigress probably over 100 kg weight

This is a very rare video not even commonly captured by professional wildlife makers after spending years in the wild. Give the camera man a break, he's using a recreational camera without any inbuilt stabilisation, he's in a jeep with other people jumping around and jostling to get a view of the action and most importantly the excitement and adrenaline makes it impossible for even seasoned professionals to stay calm at such a rare sighting. Great video and thanks for sharing. 👍

Rare sight to capture this. Great shot. We had filmed tigers fighting in Bandhavgarh over a deer kill. The roar and growl were thunder like sound. its really one of the most mean killing machines. We were lucky to capture it for our channel.

No. Lions hunt in a pack. It is difficult to hunt a boar alone. I've seen footage of tigers killing buffaloes easily than this boar as it's easier to go for the jugular

@@coxchaka the boar died anyways, even if it was a male tiger it would have taken him pretty much the same time, and it looks like an average 100kg boar vs a more or less 200kg tiger, plus if the tiger attacked it probably means that the boar wasnt healty, cause boars are very dangerous to any tiger or any animal predator, and boars over 150kg are a no go for even big tigers

Asian Boar is huge some big as 700lb I saw lots of news says they caught super sized wild boar in korea. Its heavy as small cow, and every year some farmers are killed and eaten by boar.

The wild boar is putting up a good fight but I can't see the tiger letting her meal go can you ??? If I hadn't watched from the beginning I'd have thought that the boar was getting the better of the tiger, the boar is starting to wane now I've been impressed how the tiger places her body so the boar can't get her wits tusks, the tiger as finally got above the boar so it will be game over very soon. Great video.

Excellent camera work of the background trees and grass. That was what I came to see. The occasional tiger/hog views were uninteresting.

He's actually done a good job if you consider how much he's zoomed in. Even the slightest of movement would cause a big shift. Either way, it's a shame that's what you took away from the video.

God these boars are incredibly strong and resilient. Also this cameraman Shushing everyone and the camera angle I fucking horrendous..... how do you pay for a trip out to Africa ,bring a camera and not either a steady hand or a tripod...cmon

At least the tiger had the courtesy to make sure it was dead before it just started eating it alive! And also those boars are insanely dangerous…hence why it was so difficult to take down.

That boar is massive. I don't think people realize how strong and fast those things are. I have seen a boar rip a mans arm off, right off the socket. Makes me appreciate this tigress being able to handle him like that.

Akshay Iyer.. you are one lucky man. I envy you. I presume the video is recorded on smartphone zoomed in full.. hence that shake. But you guys should have refrained from all that talking. Coming to the hunt. Chhoti Tara is one amazing hunter. Amongst all the big cats only tiger willingly takes on a prey that is bigger and stronger. It's not easy killing a wild boar, sometimes it may take more than 40mins. Chhoti Tara brought it down in just 10, what a fierce hunter. Thanks for sharing it. Sincere request for your future safaris, don't talk so much, just indulge in that breathtaking action.

Many big cats take on bigger preys. Lions go after buffaloes and wildbeasts and even giraffes all the time. So do cheetahs, leopards, mountain lions and I think jaguars.

People don’t realize how rare it is to capture a tiger hunt on camera. First it last only few seconds, second its usually in a forest, third tiger hunts alone so camouflage and distance from pray. You cant compare it with lions where people can see it in open fields with long chases with a pride of lions. Wild life photographers will die to get this scene on their wide angled high definition cameras.

THANKS for POSTING, EVEN IF it's like your filming from a in ROUGH SEAS. LOL! The Tigress and the boar had a test of stamina and even thought the boar proved not to be easy prey the tigress succeeded in feeding providing food for her cubs. Hopefully a blessing to TIGERS continuing to grace the EARTH and HUMANITY with their existence for generations to come. Once again, THANK YOU SHAKY Camera man! :)
