The Dev Times In Tiny Temple is not much of a threat... except for one problem. The Grass Cut. You will need to learn the grass cut before attempting to win the ghost. Please continue for all tracks! wouldn't have beaten crash cove otherwise. or at least do guides for thunderstruck, hot air skyway, cortex castle and hyper spaceway

If you are going to make the dragon mines part dont forget that you can manipulate the minecarts timing with skipping/not skipping the intro cutscene

Just finished Tiger Temple and came to check the video see how I compared... I swear, I'm backwards. I found this track really easy but Papu's Pyramid and Tiny Arena DESTROYED me 😭 This only took so long because i kept U-turn held down while doing the grass cut on lap 2/3 rather than U-turning once and then just hop across! Great guide as always!

I found hot air skyway one of the easiest. Same with turbo track, it wasnt that bad. I just had a big issue with dragon mines though.

The vine counts as a whole wall....they were really on that Twilight Zone logic when developin' this game weren't they? Welp, I'm glad I know now. Better to know from somebody else than to find out while playin' the game. Findin' out THAT way would lead to problems

You can actually do the same grass cut as lap 1 since developer slows down in the grass, at the end of the grass, in laps 2&3.

I found the grass cut to be A LOT easier to pull off on laps 2 & 3 when I changed the camera & made it a bit further back & upward (I couldn't trust the depth perception with the default camera), air brake's useful after the shortcut near the end too, helps you stay further to the left

If you have time, you could do a dev time guide on Drive-Thru Danger. The spiral at the beginning was so hard to get through and I kept falling off the track because of it. Just a suggestion.

A couple days ago, I knocked out Jungle Boogie and Sewer Speedway! For the former, the main trick to my victory was waiting a half-second between getting on that stone path and starting my drifts, while the latter just boiled down to watching the ghost's 1st lap and applying it to the others. So now I'm at 11 out of 40!

*I'm drift engine player and today I started trying the Developer times. It took me 2-3 hours to beat Cortex Castle with drift engine. Tried Crash Cove and N'gins lab. Could't beat them. I was wondering if it's possible to beat all tracks with drift ? Or I should finally start to learn speed engine? I'm not fan of speed and I've beaten all Velo times with drift engine.*

In my experience not many tracks are completable with the Drift engine. At least for all William P tracks you have to use speed...

@@mushroomknob William P's time for Hot Air Skyway can be beaten using Drift. I actually found it a little easier with drift but speed is probably better to use.

It's possible and if you aren't used to speed I think it's easier to perfect your drift technique than starting learn speed from 0. It's just a matter of practice. If you are switching to speed then wall hugging will difficult to you so you'll lose anyway if you don't practice enough. Good luck on beating them.

Brother, this track is driving me nuts. I can get to 1.31. How can I stop losing my flame at the end of the grass? (I keep it after landing but lose it about 75% into the grass) As far as I can tell I’m doing everything right

You can also beat the ghost with the grass cut strategy from lap 1 for all laps.

I find it hard to keep SF on this stage, i defeated Velo XXVII without maintaining SF lol by 1 second but definitely Dev time seems outta my reach if i can't keep SF

You dont actually have to do this to beat his time, you can simply take the same route at the first lap and be just fast enough if you do it well.

There's not much for it. You have to hug the walls keep your flame and when you do the shortcut you should go between the wall and that purple thing(what is it anyway?) and do a touchdown (jump when you land) so you can keep your flame through that without drift boosting and hitting the wall. Hope I could help you just a little bit.

You just need to pass beetween wall and purple light, it's easy comparing to Crash Hell Cove

@@hippopolove Haha, actually Crash cove was the first one I completed x) I've completed all the dev times now, but Roo's tubes was really hard for me because I kept hitting the invisible roof in the cut :(
