Even when Tigran plays mistakes, it's sweet. The unintentional E natural at 2:26 resolves smoothly to F, the voice leading is perfectly fine, and if you listen attentively to the voice containing that E you will end up thinking he could really have chose this one as the repeating pattern, it's so sweet !

To me, this is like watching a blockbuster movie. The scenes move fast, but each one is packed with intense emotions. It's like going on a journey where breathtaking views and obstacles constantly change. Never imagined that video transcriptions on KZfaq could become a unique form of art. Thanks, June and Tigran

I feel like this is only piece I’ve heard in a while that actually explores the main theme enough and doesn’t change every 2 secs . It makes the improv more exciting and you can stretch it more cause you have the theme in you already . Love it

Great job love his phrasing they are rythemic complicated the metric modulation the odd groupings the feeling of polyrhythms all play a huge part in his playing . He thinks so much like a drummer. Grest job transcribing all this . When someone really stretches themselves past the average playing it really opens up some amazing playing .

Awesome job! Personally I would have probably made the bar lines match the 6+6+4 clave for the whole first chunk, or put the bar lines every 16 eighth notes and then have dotted bar lines after the 6th and 12th eighth notes of each 16, since having a bar line interrupt the second group of 6/16 doesn't really match the music and it's very clear he's thinking in this clave. You do switch to this kind of approach at 8:27 (GG / bar 297) in fact. But either way, congrats on a fantastic piece of work!

I’m curious why in sections like 0:28 you chose to write in four when the groove feels more like two measure of 3/4 and a measure of 2/4. It’s all the same number of beats, and you surely are very accurate in all of your transcriptions. I’m just curious if this was a conscious decision or if you are hearing this groove differently than I am. Without any clearly defined backbeat from a rhythm section it is surely up to interpretation. I’m curious to hear your thoughts on this. Keep up the great work!

Thanks June for these lovely transcriptions! :) I'd really love some more Tigran, but, to be sure, I find all the stuff you are uploading on this channel to be very helpful! Have you heard the new Tigran album already? I thought the etude on that album was quite interesting from a technical point of view. Not necessarily the most expressive piece, but it has some pretty profound counterpoint.
