7:28 The lady with the long red hair who said that she had to color correct it for a wedding, she shows the pics that she showed the stylist, that were all long, and then at the end it says on the screen "My hair all broke off in clumps, and I lost all of my length, and I cried for days". So she didn't start with short hair and show pics of long hair. She started with long hair, and showed pics of long hair, and then ended up with short hair cause of the damage. Now that sucks!! But I wanna know why she had to change the red in her hair for a wedding?! Who told her that?? I just would've said "Hey, I can't make it to your wedding!! Sorry!!"

That one made me so mad, that poor girl. I absolutely would refuse to attend that wedding, I don't care if we been best friends since 1st grade. I'd be happy to wear a wig if I have a crazy color that would attract attention in photos, but any bridezilla that expects me to dye my real hair just for her wedding is dreaming.

The what I wanted vs what I got girl: Her hair fell out in clumps due to the process her stylist did. It used to be longer. You can see the length in the pics where her hair is red. The stylist was supposed to color correct it.

The old lady haircut on the young girl, done by a hairdresser, is why I have cut my own hair for 20+ years now. A hairdresser I'd used for a while was to do my wedding hair. It was awful, like some old lady from a 70's soap opera. And yes I know there are good hairdressers but when my previous experiences with this person were really nice, stuffing it up on such an important day got me learning to do it myself. With naturally thick, curly hair a lot of hairdressers didn't know how to work with it. I'm sure Buddha would be awesome but needs must and grooming my dogs helped my skills too. 😆.

Hi, I know a bit about the bowl cut. It was used few decades ago to cut kid's hair at home. In our country (Czechia) we call it haircut by the pot, because even pots were used. Little kids to 10 years old didn't care and it was quick and easy to cut their hair away from eyes, which was the main problem for kids.

Yes! That’s what I keep thinking. Here in the US it was also used way back when, I’m assuming it was a budget conscious decision. What I don’t understand is why people do it now? This girl obviously did it for attention/views because it’s fake, but it shows up so often.

If you use this trick wash your hair after. Undiluted essential oils can cause chemical burns when left in contact with the skin. It's not very good for your hair either.

During the height of lockdown, I was so tempted to do my own hair. I was an “every 6 week” customer for a decade. Finally, after a lot of consultation with my hair dresser and her being so nice to ship me the correct salon products, I was able to maintain beautiful platinum hair (clearly an old picture on YT). I will forever be appreciative to her. There are loads of amazing, talented people. It can be hard to find one and when you do, you don’t let them go. 🥰 I definitely agree that you must do your research. And my personal tip… if their hair is a mess, then keep on looking. No offence Hair Buddha, your hair is perfect. Not a hair out of place (just like my husband). 😃

I'm going to be 64 in a couple of weeks but when I was about 4 years old my grandmother cut my hair in a "bowl cut" and my mom saw me and started to cry. I even have a photo somewhere of me with that cut. But at 4 it was cute but after that age it not the same.

18:40 Fake. She obviously put a little wig on top and then cut that. The bangs turned out to be noticeably lighter than the rest of the color and if just looked fake. She didn't look realistically upset either. She'd be devastated if she ruined her hair like that.

My mom told me that she used to trim and cut my bangs by putting a piece of tape on my hair and cutting above it. I had a hard time staying still so that was quick and easy. 😂 It actually worked. In every childhood picture I had a straight and even bangs. I asked to start growing them out when I was like 7 or something like that.

Oof, same thing happened to me as the girl at 7:41. The salon had a 5 star rating with almost 200 good reviews too, I just happened to get assigned to their brand new stylist fresh out of beauty school who fried all my hair off. Friends & family love my pixie cut at least 😐 My learned-the-hard-way advice is go by word of mouth instead of online reviews, those can be faked and the people leaving 5 stars might have gotten a completely different service than what you want. If you see someone with great hair, just ask her which salon & stylist she goes to.

I had no idea it was so slippery and messy, but I didn't come close to your second guest's mess. Next time I will put Vaseline around my hairline, wear gloves, and cover surfaces. I am 51 and I will never bleach my hair again never, just come to a decision and will just use colour brown my hair is so healthy now , been a couple of years and still try to cut out the old bleach beaty is vanity but healthy hair is more beautiful. It's the way to go.

bowls on the head... wooden bowls were made in the middle ages as cutting bowls for monks to style their hair with a tonsure and poorer layers of society used them too to help with budget haircuts. There were some good ideas in the past worth bringing back. That said, the hair cutting bowl isn't one of them! LOL!

For the lady who had to change her hair for the wedding, it was long beforehand, it was short afterwards because it fell out in clumps after whatever the hairdresser did to it. Also, the blonde looked hella streaky/patchy. No matter what hair length she had, that's a seriously bad job and entirely the hairdresser's fault

When I was 11 in the year 2000, my hair started becoming wavy. My dad asked the hairdresser to give me any hairstyle....I was given a mullet(?) and was teased and called Elvis Presley and grandma. Unfortunately it was the year my school decided to have a student year book. When it started growing longer, I would get side eyes and snickers from adult strangers for having an 80s hairstyle

Where I live there was a lady who worked at a salon. I went to her for trims all the time. When I decided to change it up. I went short. The hair cut I wanted and what she did were two different things. The bangs were too short and too thin of a section. After that I started going to the lady my sister and mom go to. She always does a good job whether I get just a trim or chop my hair or want to dye my hair. She always gives good results.

I'm so impressed how you are always talking about hairdressers that do things wrong without shaming. I think that you've taught me a thing or two about professional hair industry and I am seriously thinking about educating myself to work with it (because upholstering and art is not going to support any lifestyle at the beginning of your career and I'm not planning to starve). Finland is a really really small country to get by being an entrepreneur.

I have a few tips today for the dying impaired. Especially concerning those who get the dye everywhere. 1. Before you even touch the dye or bleach put on the gloves that come w your box dye. If not using a box dye find yourself some gloves. REMEMBER to put the gloves BACK ON when you go to rinse your hair. This is bcuz your hair is still full of dye! 2. Before you start applying any product put 😅 Vaseline, lotion or even hair conditioner on your entire face (except your eyes), then put it on your ears, then put it on your neck and throat. This will put a barrier between your skin and the dye. Don't wash it off until you have finished rinsing out the dye. 3. If you have still managed to get dye where it doesn't belong there is a product called Clean Touch by Roux. They sell it at Sally's. Its gentle on your skin and most effective. It can get dye out of clothes but you want to apply ASAP. I have even used it on bathroom sink to clean up drops. The trick is to let the product sit a bit. Sometimes I follow up w a bleach bathroom cleaner or a magic eraser. A lot depends on the condition of the porcelain, older more pourous sinks/tubs are obviously harder to clean. 4. If you really don't want to worry about staining your bathroom sink or tub I suggest that you rinse your hair over the kitchen sink if it is stainless steel. The stainless isn't prone to absorbing anything but even if it gets a little stained just wash w soap. It'll come right off. You're welcome and good luck!

I love watching Hair Buddha! I work in a beauty supply so people come in with these issues.. all day! Problem is customers want the impossible things. They want the easy cheap way but don't want to listen to the science behind the product. How many times can you tell someone; Color doesn't lift color ! But I did it before and it worked they say 🤔🙄🤯

Buddha... headphone warning for the first guy yeah?? He was hard to watch.... :/ Plus the one getting a colour correction for the wedding... the first pics of the long red hair were hers... the longer brown hair was the goal.. her hair fell out in clumps and ended up that short... poor chic :(

That poor lady, sporting the best classic bowl cut I've seen since I was a child. I feel so sorry for her, but why was this unfortunate hairstyle put apon her & and by someone she has used before? Keep smiling, and remember hair grows or you could buy a wig until your hair grows back. I would refuse to see the person whom was responsible for this atrocious abomination ever again.

My father, born in the USA in 1923, had his hair cut with a bowl for aiming during the Great Depression. It was common then, at least for children of European immigrants.
