I've got metal all up and down my spine because of the types of work I'd do. I moved, leveled, and set houses, I worked for a company that manufactures the parts for oil rigs, carpentry, dangerous jobs basically. I know what that type of work does to a body. Me and my husband swapped places and now I stay at home and take care of Papa and our son. Point is, I've always been the only female on my crew. Women just don't typically want to do those jobs. Most of them have no idea what real work is. But every man in my life has done that kind of work. My uncle has no left hand! He lost his whole hand at work! Pops is missing 3 fingers from his job, and he joined the Navy afterward! I guess he had enough fingers to be accepted? He had more than 12 teeth. No one ever demanded for me to work in conditions like that, but I grew up inspired by these wonderful, strong men in my life. I grew up watching the women in my life treat their men like crap, and I watched the men stay calm, patient, and silent. These men were always so mysterious, but I'd trust them with my life.
