HI JARVIS. Actor here! Sooooo, it's crazy that you're talking about these because there are casting calls for these ALL over this one casting website and there are so many more. Like, wide range of subjects. I literally know the casting director's name because they come up so much. I auditioned for one where I was like a witch or something AND my boyfriend had an audition and callback for the guy who hooked up with "Joy's" grandma. The actors are asked to delete their TikTok accounts too if they get the gig, so that this is their only presence and they can keep up the charade. Super wild to see what they actually end up becoming and that you are actually covering these!!
@maddymurphy6901
@maddymurphy6901 2 жыл бұрын
They are also fully paid, professional gigs that are associated with the actors union and everything. Like, LEGIT (but also fiction, not fake ofc). This is literally so wild. Please find the others (happy to help since the casting calls are still fully accessible haha). There are ones even crazier than this and I would LOVE to see the result.

This is a prime example of "it could be cool and funny if you have the right people." There's a tik tok of this guy pretending to be the personal assistant of a supervillian and its hilarious because there's a funny premise, punchy writing and good acting. When you come at it with not even a good concept (billionaire assistant? That's not even funny to imagine) it flops and becomes uncomfortable and bad. If you want to create a fictional personality, make it entertaining and funny! Not just these weird fake feuds and no substance.

It honestly looks like a new “television” format. You remember those books where you could “choose” the next step in the story. Here you just have to “find” the next step in the story. Basically you have characters like you would on a regular show, however, the viewer needs to piece together the drama themselves and can, in fact, be part of the drama as well. If you look at it from that perspective; it’s an interesting idea.

Something that no one is addressing is how weird it would be for this “real” girl to screen record all her FaceTimes with her grandma, almost as if she knew the conversation would relate to this weird storyline. And I’m pretty sure this “real” boyfriend and grandma would not be cool with their faces and private convos being on TikTok.

I have a little bit of experience with this sort of thing from running OC blogs, so I just want to give my two cents. First and foremost though, I just want to clarify I am not defending the whole grandma storyline going on, because frankly, I am tired of seeing content like that being thrown around for shock value. However, the bad acting doesn't really bother me that much. When I used to run OC blogs, the whole point was to take a step away from serious writing. Doing dumb drama and reactions was just more fun, as silly as the final result is. As for the people not realizing it's not real, I can speak on this experience too. You can put it all over your bio and in your tags, but so many people just don't bother to read them. Lots of character blogs, channels, etc. have this problem, and we usually don't correct people because it is extremely hard sometimes to tell if they are just playing along or confused. Not criticizing the video though. It was fun and entertaining as always, just giving my two cents since a lot of people that aren't in these communities tend to misunderstand them a little. Update: Since the situation has been clarified, them being actors and being paid for this is definitely a different story. Still leaving the rest of this comment up though since it gives good insight into the community I discussed and made sense in the context of this video at least. Have a good day all!

I don't think this is any different from KZfaq's deal with the "My Story" channels that you've reviewed. These are basically content farms where they hire cheap actors to manufacture cheap drama for people who love this sort of terrible soap opera crap. Low production values and high engagement means easy money.

Wagyu often refers to American Kobe. Real kobe beef is only produced in Japan, and much like real wasabi, it's not exported. Beef that comes from ranches outside Japan, that raise their cows in the same way as Kobe cows, is called Waygu.

This is so strange. I almost feel like someone like Night Mind should be covering it, since it's arguably 'unfiction', but most unfiction analysis accounts would likely be just as baffled by this weird love triangle soap thing as the rest of us. Maybe it's about to head into more traditional unfiction horror territory with the implication Joy has a doppelgänger, but I really don't know at this point.

Just wanna say, I've noticed there's human written captions on your videos, and I appreciate it. I'm not sure if it's you writing them, or an editor, ect. Regardless, it's awesome. KZfaq's generated captions are not super accurate, and just generally unpleasant. Typing captions are a hassle and a half, but it means the world to those who need it.
