We “celebrate all body types” but the fastest growing segment in fashion is shapewear. We brought back the corsette from the Victorian age. And Ozempic is selling faster than any drug on the market. America is so confused. People still clearly want to be slim, maybe more than ever, we just can’t talk about it.

Thats what we say for everything we buy. What are you talking about? I went to mcd the other day and see the what used to be $1 mchicken for $4 i said the same thing. But i bought it anyway I just did groceries last week at sams and thats supposed to be cheap. I didnt splurge. Just got the essentials. It was $700. I said no way. But i bought it anyway Im not sure what your point was. But thats what we say at everything we buy anyway

Hmm. Seems they all latched onto this inventory criticism but she was making a decent point that shapewear shouldn't have that sort of return rate which is what leads to the inventory problem in the first place. She was also saying she can't keep inventory not that her problem is excess inventory. So I question the rationale of the sharks. Why not just say the investment is not a "fit" for them and let that be that?

Hitting the gym is not going to sinch your body waist. You can go to the gym and eat a healthy diet and still not be in the body you want. Not everyone is made of skin and bones and not everyone wants to look like that either. Just because someone is a bit thicker or larger does not mean they don’t diet or exercise. They could very well diet or a exercise more than most people. You just sound ignorant to that possibility.

She's plain delusional if she actually believes that the sharks will have any significant regrets by not investing in her company. Her product and Ring are in no way comparable. She's in an extremely crowded market, while Ring essentially created a whole new market, one that still only has a small handful of major players.

How is that the message? It’s shape wear that they sell even in the xtra small. They had a model on stage who was about a size 3. Tiny. It’s to sinch your waste and give you a curvy look. The fact they are making it inclusive to women of all sizes does not encourage unhealthy lifestyles. Also being thicker than skin and bones does not make you unhealthy. Big women go to the gym all the time and many eat very healthy. Being bigger than a twig is not a sign of being unhealthy, if anything the beauty standard of being tiny or eating less and obsessing over current day gym culture is actually so much more unhealthy.
