Someone at my church did a similar thing to "heartburn", but at the stomach, so I called it "indigestion".

When he did this at my church his fly was down and no one said anything. It wasn't even part of the act. It was hilarious!

To those who are complaining, I'm Catholic, and our priest makes jokes during homilies all the time. God made humans, and He wants us to be respectful of Him, but He also wants us to treat Him as a Father and as our Best Friend. Who doesn't joke around with their father or best friend? Does joking with your father immediately mean that you're disrespecting him? God invented laughter and humor, and if you read the Bible and pay attention in your life, you'll see He has a sense of humor, too.

I've read some of the comments on here and here's my thoughts. Tim Hawkins is FUNNY! Tim Hawkins is a CHRISTIAN! Tim Hawkins is a FUNNY CHRISTIAN! If he was doing anything that a church that was disobedient to God, churches would not invite him to do his thing. Sometimes, non-believers even get introduced to a church or Christianity through events like Hawkins. Stop being so legalistic and have some fun.

I raise my hands in church....I call it sign language, but same thing. LOL

OMG! I went to a tongue speaking church with a friend. They all speak in tongues at once and this one lady grabbed what looked to be a scarf and did the exact moves Tim did. Waving and twirling. I was trying so flipping hard not to bust out laughing!

If I ever feel like going vertical or doing a "worship javelin" or "throwing star" I'll move to the back of the sanctuary ;) Seriously, though, I've done a number of dramas and mime performances to songs and sometimes when we sing those songs I'll move to the back of the sanctuary so I can do the movements and not disturb others.

We have one lady in our church with an empty seat radius, if you get close you will get popped in the eye. LOLLOLOLOLOL!!!!

News flash God has a sense of humor! This man is breathing life into this room.! .this is exactly what i needed after dealing with hard hearted judge mental people that suck the air out of a room with religious spirits that run more people out of a church then welcome them in. God wants us to laugh it releases stress & restores the soul. Joy brings strength. So lets lighten up & pursue some of that joy you would be surprised at how many people you will draw to The Lord. ....ugh I hate legalism!

I went to a service at a convention recently and they said "We are open about how you praise...Raise your hands, clap, whatever..."....This skit came to mind right away and I couldn't stop laughing...I got more then a few looks...:)
