My mom lost my older brother at 6 weeks old to a heart defect ( this was back in 1964 before they had all the advanced surgeries for that like now) True,he was an infant & she went to have me & adopt my younger brother, but u never get over losing a child & every bday for him was difficult. Now she had Dementia but I think she still remembers the day he was born..😕 P.S. My mom passed away last night so maybe they're together now..😔

To not have any answers as to what happened to him, I’m *so* sorry, I cannot imagine the pain of NOT KNOWING, & with that said the thought of never getting closure!!…. That’s painful in itself!!!! I can’t imagine the thoughts, questions, & what ifs you think about day in & day out & the heartache of being left to wonder…. Ultimately, you’re *also* grieving, as you’re without him!!! You just don’t have the answer of _why_ ?? Which is an added weight you’re forced to battle… (SIDE NOTE: I hope you’ve managed to somehow get to know others who’s 😢children have also gone missing & possibly, specifically, those whose children went missing as young adults?? I say that as around that age many find themselves having a tough time as they try to figure out who they are, what direction they want to take in their lives, etc… it’s also around that age, as I’m sure you’re _well aware_ , that mental illnesses come to the surface, which is awful timing, as I already mentioned, that’s a tough phase in everyone’s lives- & to then start suffering from mental issues & battling how their particular mental illness(es) manifest itself/themselves can cause some to become a seemingly different person… Plus, getting help is tricky as are treatments & finding what works best for them. Then, there’s also the possibility of them hiding issues they’re having due to mental illness that has arisen (especially easy for them to hide if they live on their own & you don’t see them in person very often) & could end up choosing to unalive themselves without you seeing it coming.) I pray that you find the answer of what happened to your young son so you don’t keep battling the heartache of not knowing & with finding out why he went missing you’ll be able to finally move forward to formally grieve (if he indeed has left this earth)…. I wish I knew more of the situation & could help you in some way!!!! Not sure how much or little you know concerning details surrounding his going missing & therefore, how much info you may have as to what led to his disappearance- did he essentially vanish or was there something going on in his life that could serve as a clue to what _most likely_ led to his disappearance?? Would there be any reason for him to go missing on his own accord?? How close were you to him to know what was going on in his personal life?? Or had he oddly started distancing himself from you or family and/or friends?? Were you ever able to get a PI involved??? I’d ask if law enforcement helped search for him- although, I know police are of very little help when it comes to dealing with missing persons, unfortunately & sadly (unless, of course, a case has gotten a large amount of public attention…. !!!!) I truly hope you’ve managed to at the least come up with a theory as to where he went & what happened, like I said *at the least* ….& that you’ve managed to find some sort of help along the way that could have helped lead you at least closer to the answer of what happen to your son & I hope you had others to lean on during all the tough times through the years. MAY GOD BLESS YOU & BRING YOU THE CLOSURE YOU DESIRE & DESERVE.

People always say that, people always say 'no parent should have to bury their child', but, I disagree....what I mean is that some children will die, and, that, while I understand how terribly heart-breaking that is for the parents of those children, it does happen. Always has, always will. It's just a part of life. If a person is going to have children, then they have to accept that risk. Death is always difficult, it doesn't matter if it's your mother, best friend, husband, or child. It bugs me when people say that no parent should have to bury their child, because we could say the exact same thing about every single death ever - we could say that no chlid should have to bury their parent, no husband should have to bury their wife, no brother has to bury their sister, etc. But people only say it about parents, as if parents are in some special group that should be exlcuded from the realities of death, but that's not true - they are not in a special ground that is somehow removed from the realities of death.

The reason why parents say this about their children and not children about their parents is because the average life expectancy is 77 years old, every parent with a child without a serious illness from birth expects them to live a long healthy life. So in theory while it is possible for your child to pass before you, it is not the natural order of life for your child to pass before a parent due to the age gap between you both. This is why it is so traumatic.
