He definitely proved his grit, but how is it not a real win? It's not like fundora elbowed him. Tim ran into his elbow himself. It's no different than any other mistake a person can make in boxing. So it's definitely a real loss and he's not making excuses which is good. Don't make excuses for him.

@@purplevincent4454 fair point, I guess what I mean is he fought galiantly despite the cut/blood on his face which would definitely have impacted his vision and his ability to fight his normal fight, still that all part of boxing and I'm not trying to take anything away from Fundora who won fair and square. But I don't think the performance hurts Tim in anyway other than he lost, but feel his stock probably rose.

Disgraceful corner decision... if Tszyu corner said the accidental cut was too severe, at the end of the 3rd, its judged as a NC. Once 4 rounds are complete it's an official fight. Even the commentators were saying that his corner didn't have the right equipment to stop the bleeding. The doctors expression told the truth about how bad the cut was but it seemed like they didn't want Tim Tszyu to leave as the champion. A draw would have been the best way to get a rematch automatically. But again they didn't want that either. I'm done with the corruption in boxing...

@@gabrielm.2032 What adversity did Fundora overcome? He was bleeding because Tim was hitting him with big shots but he could still see and most of what he threw was just jabs the entire fight. Look at their faces... The damage difference is apparant. But sadly in boxing you can just throw weak jabs that barely tag your opponent and you're scoring even with his lack of accuracy.

You can't stop a cut like that from bleeding when their adrenaline is pumping and heartrate at 150+ bpm. Blood pumps 6x faster when your heartrate is up.

Boxing is a business. If he gets offered Cawford for 5 million or Tim rematch for 1.5 million,. Which would you take? It also means both camps agreed to sign the fight contract without an immediate rematch...so blame Tim's camp.

Big Tim Tszyu fan here. I was not disappointed in his performance- he was doing great until the cut gave Fundora an edge in effective boxing, Tszyu finding it difficult to see almost immediately and for the rest of the fight. Fundora boxed a great fight too, he is tough as hell and d oh did much better than I thought he would. He’s a really nice guy as well so congrats to him. 💥🥊

Congrats to fundora on the win and massive respect to both fundora and tszyu for giving us a great fight and leaving it all in the ring. Let’s talk about how Tszyu trained for Thurman for majority of his camp just for Thurman to pull out and for him and his team to fully change and adjust to a very tall boxer let alone a south paw on a weeks/2 notice and made it close. Have to respect the guts and heart Tszyu displayed while basically being blind for more than half the fight Such a shame it was a handicap match 💯

@@Gemboyssportscards my point wasn’t to try down play what Fundora achieved all credit to him he won and i didn’t know he broke his nose in the second so I applaud his will to overcome adversity he is now unified champion nothing but respect for him and not trying to take anything away from him! My point was just appreciation for Tszyu making it a close fight despite all the adversity he had to overcome and yes Fundora took the fight on 2 weeks notice but he would’ve been in training and prepared and obviously would’ve studied tapes on both fighters in case someone pulled out the fight where as Tszyu had to study Thurman who’s orthodox and fights completely different, that was my point!

Im more surprised by the fact that Tim was nearly blind for most of the fight and Fundora could barely land any effective combinations or even hurt Tim. Congrats to Tim for pushing through the fight.

This dude is a class act! I gained even more respect for him after this loss. I had Fundora winning 7-5 maybe 8-4 but it was close. I think the cut was a factor but I always felt Fundora was gonna be a problem in this fight once it was announced. Love both fighters and hopefully they gained more respect from true fans of the sport.

Last few rds tim got active earlier, needed to do that rd 6 onwards. By the time tim was in his groove his face was covered in blood and was missing the shots he ALWAYS makes.

Tszyu trained for a smaller/shorter guy, but got a 6'6 guy instead, and then cut himself in the match and had to fight him almost blind too, and still put on a show. Definitely deserves rematch.
