Griffin is at the roastery to share with you one of our favourite ways to brew our newest coffee, La Esperanza from Guatemala 🇬🇹 This easy-to-follow method can be easily replicated in the comfort of your own home using the brewer of your choice!
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Brewer (We use Origami)
- 18g of ground coffee (grind coarser, as this coffee is easily extracted)
- Scale
- Hot water (98 degrees)
RECIPE:
- Pre-wet the filter
- Add 18 grams of coarsely ground coffee to the brewer
- Start the timer and pour 50g of water
- Use a stir stick to agitate the grounds, then wait for 45 seconds
- Pull the lid off the kettle to let the hot water cool down, then begin the second pour, bringing it up to 150g
- At 1 minute and 25 seconds, pour water up to 295g
- Swirl the brewer
- The brewing process should finish around 3 minutes to 3 minutes and 30 seconds
- Enjoy your perfectly brewed cup of La Esperanza!
