I have a big offset smoker but it is tough to manage a cook on it while trying to work on the house. Also need to find a good supply of good wood here locally. We use our crock pot a bunch and recently got an instant pot so learning on that.

There is a latch on the door now. I’m not too worried about coyotes, but don’t want us to hit it open.

We’ve debated keep a girl or two for eggs. 19 turkeys is a lot to eat in a year, especially with only an easy bake RV oven.

Just remember they don't lay eggs like chickens they lay less eggs just keep that in mind if y'all do. I like their eggs for sure.

We are working on it. Hoping to have it done within the next month but we’ll see how things go.

It is supposed to give an electrolyte and immune system boost to the chicks after the stress of shipping. We’ve never raised chicks without giving this so can’t confirm it helps but seems like cheap insurance to us. We only give them that for the first day or so. This batch we just did two gallons and when they finished it it was back to regular water.

Was telling my husband how talented Adam is, that he can do almost anything. I’m just amazed at what a hard worker you both are. Boy for being so young Adam sure has a lot of great skills. I can’t wait to see what you both do in the future with your place.
