In this video Brad and the crew taste a beer that was bottle conditioned with various flavors of Jolly Rancher. Does one flavor taste better than the others?

I enjoyed the grape flavoured one because it still tasted like beer but had enough grape taste to remind me of childhood (the grape Kool-aid with not enough sugar was pretty accurate)

Yup, FuF around and find out! "Time for a little sippy poo". Came off the top of my head and I ran with it! I'd like to see Paul, Brad and the crew at Grain to Glass come up with a FuF t-shirt line up. I'd love to have a set of brew shirts that are fun and FuF themed!

I used approximately 2 whole cans of peaches in heavy syrup, sprinkled with sugar, and dehydrated on a drier thingie....it goes into a 6.7%ABV ale. I call it the Wicked Pissah

Fun idea! What was the process? Drop a whole JR in each bottle? Smash them up a bit?

Priming sugar math works out to 3.8 grams of sugar per 355ml of beer. Each Jolly rancher is 3.6 grams of sugar. So my 710ml bottles got two Jolly ranchers. The carbonation was spot on. I'll update here when I get the next batch of flavors done! Feel free to share your experiences. If you batch prime I'd suggest boiling it into solution.

Seems fun. I would do this to hard seltzer or graf or cider etc.

So here's the update. Did the grape for Terence (he was there but not on camera) blue raspberry (sorry brad i drank them all) green apple and water melon. Also did a half dozen with peach syrup. The watermelon was nearly non existent like the cherry, the peach was to subtle and a little lacking on carbonation ( have to double up on the primer) All in all a great addition to wheat beers for that summer time brew. Next time i do an Irish cream ale im going to try the worthers candy for shits and giggles! Happy brewing everyone and as Brad would say, don't get too fucked up!

It's not for everyone. Wheat beer is one of the best beer mediums for subtle to bold flavor additives. I've got a batch just about ready for priming. I'm going to set up a new lineup of JR flavors and do a few of the blue raspberry and green apple again. If you're not into the fruit beers that's cool, but like they say don't knock it till you try it! Have fun and keep on brewing!
