The ironic thing is I got bored watching TV and decided to go on KZfaq and now I'm watching this video. So this is my "relaxing time" 😆

Damn it's crazy to think I've been watching this channel way back since the animal crossing 3ds days like a decade ago. Not once has your content felt stale, it's always been upbeat and engaging. Keep up the amazing work!

First of all, not enough individuals watch this kind of content from you. Which they should. You're able to articulate your thoughts very clearly and everything said feels genuine, As if there is no script. Second; the fact we as humans always think time isn't on our side, its the fact that we do not sacrifice time for our own personal endeavors due to the vast amount of entertainment out there. It's extremely easy to be distracted. I'm victim to this as much as anyone else. I think that it is important to sacrifice a specific time of day for personal things, creative or contemplative. Whatever it is you want to put yourself toward. It is always important to know how far you've come, but remember how far you have to go!

I live in Ukraine, and we've been having major power outages again. I feel like it really puts things into perspective, as there's not much you can do when there's no electricity. I've been playing on my switch a bit, watching anime, and scrolling (because I managed to set up the internet without electricity), but I still have moments when there's just not much to do, or I don't want to do much. When that happens, I really feel like I can calm down and sit with my thoughts, I even felt some creative ideas come back for the first time in a while. It's funny that in order to be truly productive, you need to give yourself time to be unproductive. Humans just get so caught up nowadays.

I think school and work made me this “machine of productivity” that, if I don’t do literally anything I feel awful, to the point that I start feeling anxious to do something. That’s sad if you think about it in the long run, we should try to remember that time is a valuable, precious and limited resource and nowadays we’re not spending it with the most important person around… which is us. Great video, hope you enjoy your coffee !

I feel this so much. It's so hard to commit to anything you actually wanna do or relax, because the anxiety comes in and tells you about all the stuff that's coming up that you have to do.

Really feel some of the talking points in this video. People use their phone at every possible moment. I used to look around standing in lines and seeing everyone on their phone. I thought I'd never become like them, but here I am sometime later. Giving your mind idle time is so important for basically all of your mental health markers. Not to mention it's when you brew creative ideas. We need time like that every day.

Following the advice from my dad, I picked up riding a bicycle for most of my transportation needs post-pandemic. It's been a wonderful experience to keep me in shape and to help me slow things down before and after the daily grind of work.

Watching you make coffe is what got me hooked on your channel 8 years ago. Its made with such care and I respect that level of commitment to coffee. :) Also, it feels like what your describing about being in the present moment is mindfulness practice.

I recently bought a Nokia 3210 dumbphone to replace my smartphone. I still have my Google Pixel, but now I have the option to not use it. I've found now that when I do use my smart phone, its only for a minute to check what I need to and then I can turn it off and put away again because I have the Nokia. It's been incredible for processing thoughts and feelings, just laying in bed in the morning and thinking about my day or my dreams, instead of barraging my mind with social media feeds. I used to get this feeling when using my smartphone that I was waiting for something to happen to me. I would constantly refresh in hope that someone had messaged me, or that some important notification would come through. I realised I was waiting for interesting things to happen to me, and I wasn't being proactive in going out and finding those things myself.

That endless time feeling as a kid is such a wonderfull memory. And this felt like a video made for me because I always need something on the second screen (even when I am gaming) and when I sit down I keep playing YT vids and a lot of times asking myself halfway into the vid if I can even care about the subject. I have a lot of free time because I stopped working when I had the chance and resources and i thought I was living the dream at such a "young" age. But money can't help me feeling unfulfilled in the end of the day and time is flying past me because of all the social media. I never use FB,X,Instagram or anything like that but YT and Twitch are my kryptonite. But anyway i will have a look out of my window and take a walk after that. Thanks for the reminder.

This video really hits home. I found camping/backing packing really helps bring back these feelings. When you are out in the wilderness you are forced to disconnect. It is justt you, your mind, and nature.

When I was very young, I did not have a cell phone or was allowed to go outside in the evenings. There were days and weeks with no electricity sometimes. All I remember is just being bored, effectively "standing in line" for a long time. Choosing time off and introducing a reason to put off stimulation is excellent, but we are wired to have the brain stimulated; a lot of progress came from it. Got to balance rest, helpful stimulation, and dumb fun. If either of the triangles is neglected, people tend to regret it

My intense struggle with technology is I really like learning about topics I'm passionate about. And the internet is the perfect thing for that, I can learn in text form, audio form, video form, it's actually breathtaking how we just have the ultimate resource of everything at our finger tips. I guess I'm at a loss on how to approach using less technology, because the sheer amount of resources that I'd be walking away from is just too much.

@@NihongoGamer Maybe! Being yourself is the important part, and you can't do that without knowing yourself. I've been realizing lately that you can't know yourself without slowing down and giving yourself enough time to think about it, so I really appreciated the message of this video.

Funny thing about time is that you can't really save it or invest it or waste it. When you run out, you run out. And you don't even know what day that will be. It might be in 30 minutes, it might be 80 years from now.

Life, to me, is just making the best of what you have. It is meaningless; you have to create that meaning. I say, be grateful you were able to experience this; for better or worse. I am trying to create meaning for mine but I no longer feel guilty for poor time management. We could sit on the proverbial philosophers armchair for eternity or just embrace time. I choose to embrace whatever comes my way, I hope you all can try to do the same.
