Hey, this is Daniel with Smith Family Pastures. You are correct. The driveway does have some curves in it but I only use timeless post in straight runs. I use 2” schedule 40 galvanized pipe for the ends, corners, and wherever the fence will have a side load on it like the curves along a road or driveway. You also do not want to put a lot of downward force on the timeless post if you have to crest a steep hill or something. Most of the fence I have been building for cattle are only 2 strands of high tensile. I cut the post 7’ long and the post are driven in the ground about 42” so no concrete. I use end strain insulators on the end post and tie a termination knot with high tensile wire. On the corners I also use end strain insulators or Gallagher pin lock insulators. Everything is holding up good so far. I started building fence this way because it’s cheap, fast, and hopefully it will last at least twice as long as a fence using wood post. I believe you could pull 3 wires on a single pipe post without it moving but if I were going to pull 4 or more I would use a larger diameter single pipe or make an H brace or a diagonal brace.
