When I was in college, I had just accidentally walked into a pole chipping my teeth and was in so much pain. I was sitting down at dinner in the cafeteria and accidentally knocked everyone drinks on the table spilling it everywhere. My friends around me said the same thing "This is why we can’t have nice things, Lilli.", I was so delirious with pain from the tooth that I burst into laughter and fell out my chair. Since then anytime I "This is why we can’t have nice things...." it makes me smile.

We did many road trips, we even did a road trip to Yellowstone National Park (which was 2 days drive from here). We had so many great memories from our trips, it was so much fun. This vlog reminded me of our camping trip to Yellowstone, thermal hot water everywhere, was so cool to see and feel the hot water coming out from the ground. Kara! @@kadebuyle1005 it was alright with a car. Homeless without a car is unpleasant extremely in Washington state especially now when everyone is on drugs there. Homeless in warmer places could have benefits. Homeless while it's always raining sucks. With a car it's not too bad because you have a house. Made tacos on a rocket stove and oatmeal inside the Buick. Keeps stuff minimal. It's not too bad temporarily. Especially if you go to food banks have a cooler and free meals and stuff. Only thing you need to come up with is gas.

A tip for a cheap trip is to rent a cheap car and buy a tent with gear(sleeping bag is a must on the south island even in summer) on a big store like "The Warehouse"(not the expensive outdoors stores). Then just give the gear to charity after your trip if you can´t take it home. The price will be the same, if not cheaper, then a campervan. The only thing that comes extra is the setting up/packing down of the tent, but you get good at that after some day :) Oh, a headlamp is recommended if you get late to camp-sites and need to pitch the tent in the dark. We did it for one month, staying for more then one night in some place of course, two weeks on the south and two on the north island. peace

A year and 1/2 late, just for the record, Rotorua is pronounced row-toe--ROO-ah, which is, if my memory serves me correctly, #2 in size in the world for geothermal activity, behind our own Yellowstone National Park. Too bad you didn't have time to take advantage of the indoor geothermal pools, which are great. But, right nearby is, if I remember correctly from '87, a hotel which hosts a hangi (HAHNG-ee), which is the Kiwi version of a luau. The food is great, but the show is quite different than the Hawaiian version.
