I just got my Bible today in the mail. You did an honest review. I expected the quality to be better for the price I paid. Some pages did stick, nothing ripped. It's hard to read words on a page because you can also see words on the other side of the same page. DT endorsing this Bible did get me to purchase my first Bible. So, in that sense it was a good thing and worth it. I want to be close to God and learn more about my religion. They shipped Bible without messaging me about it. I had no clue it was arriving. Luckily, I was home when mailman arrived. There shouldn't be translucent pages and sticky pages for the high price. Also, Lee Greenwood hand written lyrics are a copy. I actually made the mistake of thinking it would be handwritten for each Bible since there was a limited amount of Bibles according to them. I give this Bible a 6/10. But 10/10 for Bible contents. For those wondering if they should buy this Bible, save your money and get regular king James version for a lot less. You can get declaration of Independence, constitution, etc separately.

Your comments would be more valid if you were not selling subscriptions, amazon links to cheap Chinese products, and cheap Bibles. Forget you make no mention of the current Caesar declaring Easter Sunday as a day for Trans and Pride. Further, they are not divorced, America exists because of the tenants of Christianity. Those other documents exist to apply those tenants to Caesar. Language that is being ignored, manipulated, destroyed, more now than the entire history of this Country. I don't have the Bible for the very reasons you mentioned, nor am I passing judgment for those that chose not to divorce their freedom from their faith. I completely agree nothing is at the same level as God and his word. That isn't want was done here, or for that purpose. Trump's bad taste in this culture, may have been the first time many people were actually introduced to the Word as it too is being manipulated, ignored, and destroyed by the same people, for the same reasons.

The Bill of Rights are the first 10 amendments to the Constitution. The remaining amendments are not. So that is why those amendments are not included under that portion. If those amendments were to be included there would probably be a section labled as "Amendments to the US Constitution".

There is no such thing as a "American Bible" anymore than there is a Japanese Bible. Only the language can change, not the teachings. There was also no English written in the original manuscripts. Thirdly, every Christian populace believes God is on their side. When they fight another Christian nation....who is wrong? 😶😶 Would that be God fighting himself? Someone has to pay for the printing. Even Bibles don’t appear out of thin air. Some of my Bibles also have extensive footnotes and interesting essays on the meaning of passages or the context. I am happy to pay for the hard work these devout men and women have done that helps me.

I’m Protestant, I like the new versions, modern English translations. Not surprised Team Trump couldn’t get fast, easy permission to use those. But as I said in another comment, if I were an American and a believer, I'd be pissed that something I consider sacred was being used as a crass publicity stunt and cash grab. I've worked in the book publishing industry for over 34 years. I know a thing or two about how books get published-including Bibles. Based on the overall appearance of the Trump Bible, I will guarantee that it's cheaply published in China. That's why there's no copyright page, which is actually slightly illegal. They did register the ISBN number with the government, the Library of Congress. The version of the text that was used, the King James version, is considered public domain and therefore free use to anyone who wants to publish a Bible cheaply. More recently versions including the NIV and RSV are still copyrighted. The gilded edges are causing the Bible pages to stick together. It's a thin coating that's applied after the book is printed and bound. The other supplemental elements, i.e. Declaration of Independence, Constitution, etc. are also public domain and free use. So the only cost to the publisher is the printing, which is likely less than $1 in US currency. Selling them for $60 is an enormous profit, especially when you consider that all of this information could be easily found online for free. There's also the issue of them only available in large print, which means there's a clearly defined target audience, gullible seniors. For someone like Trump who claims that the Bible is his favourite book, which he reads daily, it surprises me to learn that when he recently attended a fundraising event sponsored by a Christian organization, he was asked to lead the audience in reciting the Lord's Prayer. But he didn't know the words. Even an atheist would likely know the words to this common prayer.

Many atheists I know have read the Bible cover-to-cover and some also read the Torah and the Koran. It's because they are curious people and they want to know what others believe and why. Many say that reading the Bible either put the first doubts in their mind or confirmed their lack of belief. One of my good friends was an older atheist (now deceased) who was often asked to be on a local talk-radio show to talk about atheism. The host always suggested that callers not try to argue the Bible with Joe because he knew it better than most of them. But they would call and read Bible verses to him and Joe would quote from memory passages of scripture that totally contradicted those verses. The high price for a cheap Bible likely printed outside of America is reason enough not to purchase it, but no maps? No concordance? No introductions to the books or cross references? Hmm... I think what is included: song lyrics, the Constitution, Bill of rights and Pledge of Allegiance speaks volumes to the agenda of making readers think America is a central theme in the Bible. Not only does it leave out amendments 11 to 27, it eliminates the distinction that the translators made by having the words they added for clarity printed in italics. Plus, the pledge of allegiance is not one of our founding documents, nor the lyrics, which I also enjoy.

I agree with you 100%. As I have gotten older when I'm conflicted by something, I say to myself what would Jesus do, or what would Jesus think. Abraham Lincoln was known to ask him self "when he received the casualtie reports from some Civil war battle". What will the people think? I have yet to hear this from Mr. Trump, not once in all of his endless speeches.

I disagree wholeheartedly. If you’ve ever read the Old Testament it’s packed full of what you’re saying in your comment. Israel loved and protected their land increasingly. By inserting GOD bless America in the preface isn’t or doesn’t change the word the most HOLY FATHER has given us. But this is only my opinion. 🤷♂️

Many bibles have commentaries of all kinds. The bible is largely about leaders both good but mostly bad ones . The American founding fathers were almost all Christians and our founding documents are political but based on Christian values.

Lee Greenwood did not dodge the draft, he did not flee to Canada or any of the other things that are being put out there. He was classified as 3A because at the young age of 17, he was married, and already had children. During the Unconstitutional Vietnam War, all men that were married, and had children were 3A. That only meant they were deferred because they were the breadwinners for their families. Had the war continued, he would have been called up. During the WWII draft, my grandfather received that deferment because he had 5 children under 12 yo, and the breadwinner. However, as WWII lingered on, he was called up to serve. The drafts have always taken the 18-26 yo single men FIRST!!

@@GodGunsGutsandNRA Strange, my father was married and my mother pregnant when he was drafted in 1966 to head to Vietnam! He didn't get to hold me until I was 2 years old. My mother got $96 a month to live on while he was away. That's around $920 in todays money. What I always thought was really strange was he had 7 other brothers, and he was the only one drafted.

The song says he would do those things not that he would if he doesn't get a deferment. As for trump, he totally dodged the draft, and now he and Lee are partners in this lovely Bible. I do have to think trump was probably telling the truth when he said he "has many bibles" he has to have a few for marketing them to his brain dead followers. LOL 😂. You could all benefit from actually reading the Bible, especially trump, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

My first husband and I got married as soon as we graduated in 1970, because we thought he would be called up right away. Several of our friends had already got their notice, so we "rushed" into marriage, just in case he got his notice. I wasn't pregnant, I had no intention of rushing that part, but he never got called. I have no idea why he didn't, but he never did. The draft during Vietnam was an unorganized mess. I am sorry your dad had to go, but thankful he made it home to you, I knew so many that didn't.
