Tiny 3D-Printed Earrings Inspired by Little Pony Side-Characters

I have been delving into 3D scanning, 3D printing, and painting, and these are the first results! Some little earrings inspired by My Little Pony friends: A Takara Japanese fakie (or Palau pony) and the beloved Cha Cha the Llama, one of the most sought-after pony-adjacent creatures our there :P I had a lot of fun working on these, so I hope you enjoy the process, too!

Apologies to those that watched and commented on the last video! I had to re-upload because the subtitles were out of sync (and that's something I personally struggle with when watching). SO, here's a new version. Oh, and I also swapped the sang-song for an instrumental only one :)

They turned out great! I didn’t notice they didn’t have hair either until you mentioned it. I think they look perfectly fine without it though I think it would be fun to see a version with the hair

These came out so tiny and squee, aaaa! Maybe you could use little bits of yarn fluff to make them hair? I've been learning blender recently myself. Got a nice 3D printer, realizing I could print my own tiny food and stuff was a very good motivation to get past the donut tutorial haha. Sadly even the best filament printer doesn't do things THIS small but... I have nowhere to put a resin printer right now... not gonna stop me, gonna print so many tiny donuts man. So many.

Oh, congratulations on your 3D printer! I don't have a filament one but I can see uses for both (for example, I would print ALL THE FLOWERPOTS). Resin is great for detail, but quite expensive too if you want to do bigger creations. Next video should have hair!! :) :)

This was such a cute project! I even think chacha looks good without the hair because the torso has that hair texture. I would so buy these as charms for my keys

I love that you are making MLP-inspired 3D prints!!! I hope you go onto the fiddly accessories Ponies came with which tend to be lost over time, things like toothbrushes, toothpastes, xylophone beaters, baby bottles, stack toys etc, because I'm sure many Pony collectors, me included, would love to buy such things!!!

OH I didn't know that there were 3D scanner apps! Well now I feel a bit silly having spent all that time 3D modeling the takara, although I haven't seen anyone else 3D scan theirs! I LOVE the My Little Pony Friends, Cha Cha is so cute although my favorite is Creamsicle the giraffe (and cutiesaurus ofc)

This reminds me of Charmkins! Another toy line by the same creators of My Little Pony. Hasbro really thought Charmkins were the next big thing, little charms you can play with or wear as jewelry, they couldn't have predicted what a titan MLP would become. There were MLP fast food toys (cant remember which) that came with teeny My Little Pony figures that seem to be a re-use of the horse Charmkin. This video is kind of a backwards evolution of that in my mind, lol!

Person who owns a 3D scanner here (though it´s a lower end one meant for home use, but still ouch my wallet). Your scans turned out really great for using your phone❤I tried before and couldn´t get decent results even with multiple attempts and simple items. The darker parts turn into sculpted ones because the black absorbs the light and makes the program think it´s a solid piece, some solutions include using 3D scanning spray that disappears after a couple hours, dry-shampoo you can wash off after or even painting in guache paint and again washing it off after.

They're so cute! You could always use the normal acrylic hair and glue it on to give them tiny brushable manes and tails? Excited to see what you do!

Hey there! I was wondering if you’ve ever tried a magic eraser to get off scuffs and dirt stuck in a pony’s body, apparently they’re good for gentle sanding on plastics, love your videos btw :)

I love this project and the results are great! My critique of this video is that I never watch your videos to become energised or wake up. I like to watch your videos to wind down or relax. The music that accompanies this video is grating and obnoxiously high energy. I felt that it genuinely ruined my viewing experience. I would rather watch you working on something you don’t like and which I’m not interested in, if the music isn’t as intrusive as it was in this video. I would like to request that we no longer get high energy music in your videos, unless it’s on theme with the content. I prefer no music at all, but the least intrusive music is calm piano/guitar/flute or ambient electronic music or soundscapes like ocean waves, diving sounds, rain or wind. This would mean a lot to my enjoyment of your future videos. I’m enjoying your exploration of new ideas and types of media and methods to work with. It’s pretty inspiring. I would still enjoy new pony restoration and OOAK custom pony videos!
