It's the attention to detail and thoughtfulness of things like the hanging cabinet radiused corners (which will save alot of noggins, and also look amazing!) that really sets your build apart from everyone else. When you have her on the water, and you're ready for it, you should release a long-form timelapse video, title it something like "Tiny Houseboat Build 3 Year Timelapse." Guarantee you'll get a million views.

The only problem with the attention to detail thing is that everything takes forever!😄 I give myself another 12 months but then it should be finally done. Your idea of one long timelapse video is great and I might actually do that! Thank you for your kind comments btw. My reward for spending so much time on these videos are comments from people like you who can see and appreciate my efforts and ideas. Unfortunately they don't make financial sense yet, but I might get there one day too🤣

I must say when you were building that corner storage box, it looked like a foil wing or something??? Lol! I thought, “now what kind of speed do you expect to achieve????” …. Lol. But I must you are diffidently building a 5 star craft. Thanks again for sharing your talents and skills. 👍👍👍

I honestly have to thank you! Without supportive viewers like yourself this channel would not exist, since all the videos don't really make mentionable money I have only two things left that motivate me: a record of my work so I can look back and try to understand how and why I did things the way I did, and my appreciative viewers!

Your woodworking is so amazing! I can Woodburn anything, but my carpentry skills are mediocre at best. Your build is always so well thought out and masterfully executed. But it's also a matter of function. You really have some wonderful ideas about maximizing space and function. I love that. Very sharp. I think it's the attention to detail that makes you stand out so much, Adrian. 😁

@@erikbrush There was a point where I absolutely knew nothing about woodworking and I learned it all with the help of the internet, youtube especially. These are really interesting times, thanks to the internet we have access to endless information and can learn so many skills! Speaking of, I am looking forward to expand my woodburning skills, I am working on it today actually! Cheers!

I wish I had a platform to share your videos on. The fact that you only have 3k subscribers is a travesty that needs to be rectified. Your craftsmanship and workmanship never cease to amaze and inspire me. I will truly be sad when this project is finished. I have enjoyed coming along with you on this adventure.

I am glad you enjoy my content and I am very grateful for viewers like you. I am taking my time with the boat so it will take a while till it's all over😁 and even when it is, I have already plans for more content! It is kind of funny how the boat became the main driving force of this channel considering that I almost didn't want to show anything at all about it. I appreciate your support, thank you!

When I first started watching and following you with this build I had no idea. Not once have I Questioned your design. Some people have ideas and can't quite get it to come to fruition. Others can build and are very linear. You my friend have so much talent with how you see things. I love the ideas you come up with. I've been building a small tear drop trailer and have made it with salvaged materials as well or mostly. I've had several people say I should start a channel but I never thought anyone would want to see what I'm doing. Keep putting up the content! As I've been told the inspiration from seeing this is what has value. Start to finish you have loads of talent!

First of all, thank you very much for comment, I really find a lot of motivation in that, I don't think people realize how much that means to me. Second, you absolutely should do a youtube channel, I would love to see your build and I am sure many others would too!

Good question Stephen, I hate to say it but I think it might take another month or two before I get the chance to continue my work on the boat. You are not the first person to ask me about this, so I might have to do an update video on this. Thank you for your patience, I promise this was not the end of it yet🙂

It is coming together very nicely now. Thought about the motor and controls yet?
@adrianwoodworm
@adrianwoodworm Жыл бұрын
That is another thing I keep pushing in the very back of my mind! 😆 the only thing I know so far is that it is going to be a 9.9hp outboard motor. That's the plan anyways. That seems underpowered for most, but this boat is not meant for the ocean, all I need is to move at slow speeds on calm lakes. Diana's Rose (another youtube boat...) is a good excample of what is possible.
@timeast4644
@timeast4644 Жыл бұрын
@@adrianwoodworm, yeah, I would have expected a 26-30 hp motor or so. I have a 13’ Boston Whaler with a 30 hp motor. It does fine for what it is. You know your mind. Have you put pencil to paper on the weight, wind loading and such associated with your boat and the ability to move around on the lake should some wind come up?
@timeast4644
@timeast4644 Жыл бұрын
I meant 25-30 hp. Fat fingers
@adrianwoodworm
@adrianwoodworm Жыл бұрын
@@timeast4644 I have not done any math. I am just comparing this boat to the Diana's Rose and draw my conclusions. I think the bigger the motor the better when it comes to maneuverability in harsh situations. The reason why I prefer the idea of a 9.9hp though, is the low fuel consumption and that I don't necessarily need to licence and register the boat since it would be under 10hp. I am aware that very windy and harsh conditions would have to be avoided as good as possible and that there is a chance that this is not going to work out for me. In that case I still can upgrade to something bigger, but I would like to try it first.
@timeast4644
@timeast4644 Жыл бұрын
@@adrianwoodworm , well, I certainly hope that 9.9hp will work for you. It’s such a beautiful boat and you’ve worked so hard on it. This was offered just as a suggestion rather than a criticism. Looking forward to your future posts.

Great and interresting little series and really nicely built. In regards to bending plywood, you can cut a handfull of slots on the inside of the bend to make the ply flexible.
@adrianwoodworm
@adrianwoodworm Жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes, I am aware of the plywood relief cut technic, I actually used it to curve the 3/8 plywood for the hull. The radius on the cabinet was too tight though to use this successfully.
