@@ladykoiwolfe well yes a bit, but it's more or less better for us. Not everyone memories what code is what so we just did away with the color thing. If need be we'll still use color codes. Our charts are still colored over what code is what. But the only thing that we still regularly still use the color for is a code blue. Plus if the emergency code is set over the intercom we don't have to keep explaining to people what that code is if they are in the need to know. For example it's no longer a code Orange it is a lockdown and that's a bit more self-explanatory than just code orange.

Doctors already work 10-12 hour shifts on the regular, and that's if they don't get extended due to an emergency (which the often do). He deserves to do whatever he wants in the moments he gets to himself outside of that. Man's gotta sleep and not go absolutely insane. I'm sure you'd still find time for a hobby even if your boss wanted you to work 2 days with no breaks between shifts.
