I fucking love you. Like yeah, there’s differences, but the difference is YOU. I used to get SO annoyed at being called emo, but as I’ve grown older, I’ve realized it’s not that big of a deal. I’m just happy people are trying new things and exploring how to express their truest selves. And way off topic, but your eyebrow shape and eye makeup in your profile pic give me life. 🖤

I see very big differences between them , but that doesn’t mean we should gate keep or be just downright rude to the people that don’t. Usually people get offended over the music aspect. People will find any excuse. I've seen it every where. Gatekeepers: toxic tears isn't goth because she said she didn't like goth music. Me: she didn't say that she said she didn't listen to a lot and that was many years ago. Gatekeepers: yeah but shes still like that. Me: *shows proof that she's not* Gatekeepers: she likes baby pink. Me:* shows pictures of gatekeepers wearing baby pink* you just want an excuse to break her so STFU Gatekeepers: *scream and cry like little kids* That's literally how it is most of the time and I'm sick of it. The music part infuriates me the most because they could be recommending bands to baby bats instead of bullying them. Any "reason" they have for bullying baby bats is an excuse.

Badazzyte ‘’appropriate” goth is simply a music subculture that also adapted a vague and broad fashion and aesthetic spectrum of darkness/black, but that doesn’t mean its restricted to nor revolves around dark clothing. its always been about the music scene. theres goths that dont give a shit about any of the look, because the makeup and fashion isn’t what it’s actually about since nongoths use these looks very often. there is no exact origin besides a vast amounts of alternatives using it (or non) its just fucking makeup anyone can do themselves up in any way. it isnt owned by any one culture or group.

yall she isnt claiming to be emo or goth lol, she's saying that the makeup's inspired by goth and emo makeup looks. i dont think her goal was to use them as synonyms but to kinda describe the look better? when you say emo makeup, i think raccoon eyeliner and black lipstick, but when you say goth makeup, i think really intense winged eyeliner and overall tradgoth makeup. mixing the two kinda creates a different image, kinda like a more soft gothy-emo look, which is obviously what she was going for. i understand why she would mix the two. her makeup is beautiful and she's very talented and its kind of a shame people are only discussing her use of goth, emo, and egirl.
