*****Just to cut down confusion; Texurizing is still considered chemically processing your hair. This video is to show how I use it and how it works on my hair. Everyone’s hair is different, of course, so there is no guarantee of the results you’ll achieve!! I use this solely for loosening my texture due to my hair being coily and hard to manage at times. I stated at the beginning I’m not 100% sure of my hair type due to the pictures are always different online and sometimes it looks nothing like my head, however I’m just going to go with my hair being a 4A texture. Try this at your own risk, and please don’t try if your unsure! Thanks so much guys!!💕******

Hey y’all 😊👋🏽 Just in case anyone is curious to how my hair was before texturizing while wet, I added a link in my description to a prior video that shows it. In this video my hair was blow dried (stretched) prior to adding the texturizing. Hope this helps!💕

Candi Lea you’re completely missing the whole point. We all know being natural takes a lot more work, especially depending on the texture. It’s not about liking it, it’s about maintaining your hair and doing what works for you and your lifestyle. I love my natural hair, but it’s just frustrating and hard to deal with. I don’t want to go back to perms so I use a texturizer to make it more manageable whether it’s in its natural state or straightened

Thank you for sharing your video. I’m actually considering texturizing my natural hair. I’ve been natural for 4 years and I can’t seem to get the tangling and breakage under control. At this point I can’t do much with it so it’s either texturizing or cutting it all off again. Definitely want to give the texturizing a go and if it doesn’t work then I’ll just chop it off. Been thinking for a while if I should texturize my hair. I think I might. I use the new Dove products for our hair type. It's the best one for me, but I still have a hard time combing through it. I created a new hair category of 5 for myself. I have multiple strands of hair per follicle, they twist tightly on each other which prevents me from being able to ever comb through it. When dry or several days after flat ironing, my hair swells to 3 times the size. Needless to say, I am over it. So I may be doing this soon. Nothing wrong with creating a new category because many of us are in our own category anyway..our DNA.which is why everyone's hair doesn't 'behave' the same. Andre created categories that everyone seems to subscribe to. (not me) So u can too 😁

I watched one video saying not to do that before it won’t texture your hair in a curly state. My thought was blown out hair is not permanent and the texturizer will break the thr curl at the molecuee level. So it really doesn’t matter. Then your video came up on my feed. I like how your results came out. I too have way too much shrinkage, wash n goes and twist, and twist outs comes out horrible. This will give me more versatility. And to be honest, no one has to justify why they’re going back to relaxers or texturizer. This is your hair not theirs.

What’s the upkeep like? Do you constantly have to put product in to keep your hair moisturised? Does it ever feel really dry? Thanks

I already have super thick curly hair type 3 and I really wanna put this in my hair because I’m tired of using a whole jar of hair lotion or hair creme. And i I have to hold my hair upside down and step into the shower like that while I use my shampoo and conditioner 😭. My arms and back are in pain but the problem is my mom says you already have good hair and you don’t need one 🤠 .

I’m glad I’m in the black community and not alone in the hair struggle. My hair is soft but the shrinkage. THA SHRINKAGE Jesus . And my arms are sore n fed up and the tangles lort. But I am nervous for a texturizer , I wish there was a semi permanent one. Maybe I will try keratin treatments

Your hair turned out absolutely BEAUTIFUL 🤗 So, in your video you showed that your roots and edges are covered with texterizer on it, then it switched to you AFTER rinsing it out, BUT did you add texterizer to your remaining (all the way to the ends) hair? It doesn't show you doing it on camera, so I'm just wondering. 😏

Very good video! How do you know how much of your hair should be texlaxed so that it doesn’t look stringy?
@LifewithQuanda
@LifewithQuanda 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! & usually when peoples hair come back out stringy, at least when I see it, they’re leaving it on too long and treating it as a relaxer. I also never put it on my ends only my roots and maybe mid way down but never my ends. The goal for a texturizer should be to loosen and soften the curl

@Berlin Taylor I actually did end up doing it. It was about a few weeks later and I thought of uploading a video but chickened out cus I was afraid it would turn out bad lol. Im still thinking about doing an explanation video of how I achieved it from start to finish. I love the results though, best decision I could make hands down!🌺

Yes, it is a relaxer. *Same chemical.* Marketing determines what the box is labeled, 'relaxer' or 'tezturizer'.

Take it from me. Wheeew Tlaxers have been the thing for me when the natural just wouldn’t do right. It grows thick before it grows long and the shrinkage in this Texas weather is crazy. Do you love, your hair looks fabulous. I agree why go natural if you can’t enjoy it.

Hi I went a little further down but I never put it on my ends due to previously using relaxers in the past. I think on the box it says to only apply to your ends if your hair has never been chemically processed before. Hope this helps lol!

Hi! & yes essentially your retouching your new growth. Honestly as far as how often , I usually retouch when I notice my hair isn’t as manager anymore which is usually after a few months. Hope this helps!
