Thanks yeah this game was definitely a battle on Gnarly for several runs. I honestly like the game design more after speedrunning this since the flow is so good on most of the screens. Just need a few better boss/enemy attack tells with throw i-frames and I’ll have very few complaints. Hoping for higher difficulty with remixed enemies later on!

Yeah every character is fun and surprisingly unique on the speedruns even though they felt very similar on the first playthroughs. Game has really nice flow, actually preferred the speedrun feel to playing through casually due to how the encounters string together

Thank you for the extremely high praise! All of the record holders of this game have crazy good runs up (Paul Knives, Pikachu, KPone) that vary way more than I would have thought with each character. Making the last video with full combos and no damage through the whole game has helped a ton with the actual speedruns so Its nice to hear it shows through. I’m just happy the game at a high level has turned out to be very fun to play and watch, Cowabunga dude!

@@FBIMichaelScarn What !? You didn't ?) That's his single most awesome work :) I am still sad the original Japanese VA for Liquid died before MGS4, so Kojima and the gang decided to drop Liquid's voice completely and just use Pat Zimmerman's Ocelot exclusively... I LOVED hearing Cam as Liquid.

Yeah it would have been awesome to have some Liquid lines during the MGS1 portion of the fist fight late. MGS 1 still an all time favorite, I could hear his voice in your “BROTHEEER” comment lol

@@FBIMichaelScarn True, true. It's hard to pick favourites among MGS games... I'd say ... no, I can't really pick among them, it's like picking favourites among your children. MGSV is by far my most hated, though. A cuckoo, a stepson I absolutely despise. Virtually any other game, even non-canon Portable Ops, I feel much more favorable towards. I used to love MGS3 during school, then fell in love with MGS2 at the university, but nowadays I feel respect for MGS4, because it's something that can simply never happen ever again - *an entire game that exists SOLELY for the fans of the series it built up and virtually noone else* , which basically means that it's as non-inclusive as possible for newer players and demands people to actually go play all the previous ones. That's... fucking commendable and kind of crazy in today's world.

Thank you that’s an extremely nice compliment! I generally prefer watching/running games/categories like this with minimal clips but just raw execution/style like DMC, SM Miles, JFO too. TMNT is much better designed than I first thought since almost every screen has really nice flow. Should be R1 or RB depending on system being played. I believe you can assign buttons in the menu to whatever you prefer however

Yeah the way he can manipulate some of the bosses is just too fun. I honestly thought Don was the weakest but then Paul Knives destroyed the game with his dash elbow. Every character has a couple unique things that are really shining through in the speedruns now. My only request for Leo would be double jump off shoryuken so we could see his air pizza slicer attack more often

Leo is awesome, they were all pretty great pre patch and had different strengths while still being able to clear at roughly the same speed. I need to revisit the game to see how everyone stacks up now, hope that shoulder charge didn’t get nerfed haha
