Found out my wife was cheating on me for the last year. I work 70 hours a fucking week boys. I am exhausted, I have no energy, but I put my work boots on every single day and get after it. I am not perfect, neither is she. But I loved her. And after I found out, she moved in with him. Literally a fucking week later. Wow, the timing of this is impeccable. My first love, my girlfriend of a little over 2 years broke up with me on the 31st, just before we could celebrate getting into our 3rd year together. I feel so lost without her. Before she came into my life I didn't know who I was or what I wanted, and I held on to her so tight, she became my everything. And so when she broke up with me, I felt like my whole world crumbled. My mental health is not great as it is, but this felt like someone was taking my last breath from me. And even since then, I feel like I have been slowly dying. I'm so scared and so lost, but I know (or rather I hope) that I'll be better.

My ex and I broke up 2 months ago from a 5 year relationship. I take full Accountability that I mistreated her many times throughout our relationship. I also found out I was codependent in our relationship. My world felt like it went upside down. My lifestyle has completely changed without her. The day of our argument I blew up and ended the relationship I just felt overloaded. I took my stuff to move out because I didn’t know how to handle it. Again I take responsibility of my actions. Now we haven’t spoken in 2 months. Even though I miss the hell out of her I don’t trust myself to be with her soon because behaviors don’t change overnight. It takes time and discipline just like working out when you want results. Even though I know this, I can’t help but face the reality she is gone forever from my life. With this in mind, I try my hardest to move on but I cry over this random times of the day. I guess I deserve it because I made her cry many times … the regret sets in very heavy. My hope has dramatically declined to rekindle. Again the thought of ever seeing her again is slim to none.

I am three months post-breakup and can feel myself getting better each day, but there is something holding me back from letting him go. I find myself at random points missing him immensely. I needed this so much, I need to better myself. I realize I was the one who ruined it all, and I feel terrible, the regret eats me up, sometimes it hurts to see him hurt. Being with him was the most amazing thing ever, but I realized that he would definitely want me to become better. It hurts like hell that we are still so much in love, but have to separate because I lost myself in the process. In one way or another, this helps me cope and want to be better. I needed to hear this, it had been 5 months of no contact with my ex and she finally reached out a week ago that she wanted to meet up and talk, I was debating to follow or not with that because I knew it was just going to bring me back all the memories and just seeing her was going to be tough , but I did promise I would be there for her no matter what , I didn’t know what was that she needed to talk to me about so at the end of the day I needed to do it besucase maybe she had changed her mind about the break up , but it turn out she just wanted to apologize for the way she treated me before she left , and the way she disrespected my family for not saying bye to them and ignoring them , we would of have been 6 years together on New Years , i think it’s time to move on.

There's a song by Ed Sheeran with this one line that continues to run deep for me sometimes... "When love is real, there's never closure. I guess it's all part of life, but I can't help but feel low." Of course, he wrote this line in his song because he was grieving the loss of his friend, but in the context of relationships, I definitely feel like this can apply as well. Sometimes, certain feelings just need to be felt, and that's okay. I chose to not only break up with him, but I also decided to not turn back and not keep in contact with him. I was never good at allowing people to give their side of the story, but with this breakup in particular, I just needed my peace of mind. I didn't want to wait around and hear whatever it was he had to say.... it would just make leaving feel that much harder. Not all closures are good, but every now and then, I just can't help but wonder about him.

We were together since I started high school all the way to my senior year. We spent Christmas’s, thanks giving, and all of the yearly events together. Our break up didn’t really feel like one, I feel as if it was never official. It’s been 4 hard months though since I’ve felt her warmth. I had my heart broken for the first time about a week ago. I loved her with all my heart; we broke up due to her mental health issues, but about a month later she tells me she had no feelings for me and I’ve never felt so much pain. I’ve done everything I can think of, everything that is recommended to get over it. I’ve been sick with various colds, strep throat and now covid for the past month. the love i poured into him, the depths of each other we reached in just 5 months was unexpected… despite how short lived it was, i cared for him in a way i never knew was possible… its always very disappointing when the fun is over, i dont date often, dont mingle much, no friends. i’ve spent the first 5 years of my 20s growing, learning, healing… i met him, and shared my tools, he took from me endlessly then ran back to the streets. that’s life. it’s only been 3 weeks and everyday since, i’ve told myself im getting better… it’s true. i spent days crying, obsessing, chasing, etc… as of lately i’ve been reflecting and sitting in the acceptance of it. so many bitter sweet emotions have consumed me. i’ll always have fond memories of the love that we shared.

I've been holding on for 3-months. She's happy, healthy and having fun without me. I've had lots of difficult things happen to me following the break-up, and it's all compounding. Sometimes it gets better, and I don't think about her, but sometimes it comes back. It's unhealthy at this point. I know she hasn't thought of me in a long-time. I don't want to think about her anymore; I have so much else to deal with. I just want to let go now, so it doesn't hurt anymore, and so I can move-on and better deal with the other difficulties in my life.

I met this girl on June 2023. I don't think I ever felt like that for anyone else. I was dumb and well I was a dreamer, she is from Poland and I'm from Brazil. By far the prettiest girl I ever seen. We'd talk about everything and we had so much intimacy with each other. I wouldn't talk to anyone else cause I just wanted her, and she was the one. She was two years younger than me and at first she said she Real wanted to meet and all that but after a while, she stopped, she became distant and it's like all that mattered for her was pleasure.....I had my share of wrongs too but she was needy and wanted attention and I always did that. She went on a trip and after she got back she started telling me about this boy she met and how he was sweet to her, that was my first sign to leave, after all we were in a distance and it was obvious she didn't feel the same as me. I found out she is an atheist and I'd like to say I'm a Christian but honestly I'm just a sinner who needs the Grace of the lord. I was Really stupid to her and made fun of why she didn't believe in God. One day we started arguing and it went on for days until she said she didn't feel the same for me anymore. She didn't even explain it it was like she just didn't want to have anyone with me anymore. Before I used to invite her to call and watch movies together and all that stuff and she never really wanted it and kept on giving excuses, one day she said she was going to watch a movie with her friend a guy John and she said she Really liked him. When I asked if she Real loved me like she said, she said I do but as a friend and you'll never be my husband and we're not soulmates at all. Thing is a few months back I couldn't stop thinking about her name even before meeting her, I always thought that name was really beautiful. After she said she wanted to be with that guy I just vanished, she never text again or even show that she missed me, and thing is the guy wanted her for her body. After a while I had an experience with the lord and admitted my mistakes to her asking if she wanted to be friends again, and that I wouldn't make the mistake of being radical religious like I did on the last time, she just answered that it was good that I realized a healthier approach to religion. Nothing else. I still think about her till today and how she sounded like, I deleted all our 5 months of chatting and videos nothing left at all, I unfollowed her and pretty much tried to forget her but till this day, is hard....it affected my other relationships too and I have huge trust issues now.

I was referring to my growth as a person. Almost immediately, I pulled myself up, contemplating - this isn't about them any more. And why would I want to pollute my desire to grow, with thoughts of someone who rejected me? This video just confirms, I was on the right track to invest in yourself, for good reasons.

Heartbreak is already a heavy burden to carry, and adding financial stress can definitely make it even more challenging to cope with.

I do want to add that although you will need closure, it does not have to come from them. Sometimes, they won’t give you closure, or will refuse to. That’s ok! Because you can give yourself closure, it comes from within, you can close your own chapter.
