To Sir, with Love is a 1967 British drama film that deals with social and racial issues in an inner city school. It stars Sidney Poitier and features Christian Roberts, Judy Geeson, Suzy Kendall, Patricia Routledge and singer Lulu making her film debut. James Clavell directed from his own screenplay, which was based on E. R. Braithwaite's 1959 autobiographical novel of the same name.
The film's title song "To Sir with Love", sung by Lulu, peaked at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States for five weeks in the autumn of 1967 and ultimately was the best-selling single in the United States of that year. The movie ranked number 27 on Entertainment Weekly's list of the 50 Best High School Movies.

It is well known that the actor Sidney Poitier, passed away on January 6, at his home in Beverly Hills. Until now, the cause of death was unknown, the two-time Oscar winner. However, on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 and his death certificate was accessed. According to the document, the nonagenarian actor he died due to three illnesses that had been afflicting him. long ago, heart failure, prostate cancer and Alzheimer's disease. I don't think it's right that they put a photo without a leg! That is rude and disrespectful!

I watched " To Sir With Love" while pursuing my diploma in education at college about 2007 and ever since I was fascinated with the film and Sidney Poitier's movies . He was an exceptional actor .

You didn’t mention Lulu, who was already a well known Pop Star when she made this movie. For shame. (lol, 😁) Apart from Sydney Poitier, who I met as a first year teenager, 13, when he was doing a movie at Pinewood Studios, which my Dad was in, I remembered Lulu was in this movie and bc she was a young Pop Star, sang the lead song for the movie, and that I liked her and saw at a concert in a cinema theatre in London, a couple of years earlier.

I once in a while will watch this movie. It gives me such a warm feeling a good feeling of the good ole days ! I was blessed to be born in 56 cuz living in the 60s 70s etc... were the best years of my life ! Whenever life gets me down and depressed I'll watch the shows of yesteryear and pretend I'm back in those wonderful years again! Where life was easier , people kinder, and the quality of life was so much more appreciated and loved! Then the invasion of certain people who came started nothing but fights. , theft . People moved away and the destruction of our beautiful country went down the tubes. Even worse Biden steals the election and further destruction of our country by letting 18 million illegal aliens that gets EVERYTHING FOR FREE! While we are suffering!
