Toad In The Hole 2 Ways

We decided to add these Toad In The Hole recipes in this video, 1 is a standard 1 portion size made with flour and 3 sausages and the other is a Keto Friendly recipe made with Arrowroot and cream. They both have an egg but the standard one has milk instead of double cream. Let's see what they turn out like as we also do a blind taste test to see if I can tell the difference.

After 66 years of failure at home made nit out of the packet toad in the hole batter I have just surprised my long suffering husband with an absolutely perfectly risen fully cooked crispy topped toad in the hole!!! Your simple trick of matching the milk and plain floor to the volume of the egg worked like magic! Thank you so much❤️

You should try pigs in blankets toad in the hole, wrap the bacon round the sausages in the normal way and do your toad in the hole like that, you'll love it!

My favorite is chop toad since I don't really like sausages. My husband loves chop toad too. I probably make it once a week. I might try the keto recipe since hubby needs to lose a few pounds. He will never know the difference.

Great video, just catching up on some that I have missed. I have successfully cooked individual toad in the hole in the air fryer using ‘Cadac’ tapas non-stick dishes. They fit the Ninja dual zone drawers. Have used the dishes for crumbles also. Perfect for all those who take the air fryer in their camper vans and motorhomes 😊

A bit off-topic but in Australia, we have the Hawaiian cane toad which was introduced to control the cane beetle in sugar cane fields, but now they are everywhere, and almost everything that eats them will die.👍Toad in the hole came up a treat.

I did my toat in the hole in my fryer it works a treat but you need to use a metal dish that is preheated till smoking on the stove top then in a preheated air fryer perfect👍👍

Guys, have you ever tried chop toad? Replace the sausages with small lamb chops and onion gravy for mint gravy. Trust me, it's a belter...

Can't beet a bit of toad in the hole Martin yum yum not sure about the keto though never tried it. I don't think I would be able to eat the cream lactose intolerant.

I just told my daughter about your progs as she got a new air fryer. I really, really thought these toad in the holes were going in air fryer! So, although I was impressed with idea for measurement, I was disappointed they were done conventionally. CAN they be done in air fryer?
