For many years on my old cheap 2x7 GMC Denali road bike I had a zip tie holding the back brake liner against top of the frame, this stopped the single pull cheap brake calipers from sliding out from center. Even properly setup they still always slid out a bit thus making uneven braking. The zip-tie solved this and for many years never had an issue with the back brakes again. Always carry some zip ties with you they are a life saver.

Grandma's Brownies ( sold in stores ) were the best brownies because of her secret recipe and were in such demand they couldn't keep them on the shelves. Then she exposed her secret. Then everybody started making their own brownies and the store couldn't sell them and they went stale. Kind of catch the metaphor here George? But hey, I do appreciate the tip. George I have my own hack when it comes to calbing. Instead of putting on end-caps I'm using a spot welder for nickel battery packs to weld the end. I use a cheap battery driven hand held one for convenience.

glorious. just drop a bit of solder on it then cut. end caps are sort of kluge.
