he's not underrated. he's a legend amongst comics. he's just from that generation of new york comics who didn't come into prominence during the age of podcasts, so newer fans of comedy don't know him as well. he's one of my favorites too

Today im thankful to you Neal. You’ve bought a new format of podcasting content to my life and lit a fire under my ass to get my shit in gear. I aim to become someone who can interact with, question, poke, tease and ultimately bring out the best and most authentic version of a guest- just like you do. I have lofty ambitions and grandiose goals. I put it to myself, by this time next year, you and I will have had some sort of correspondence. Much love- happy thanksgiving- keep being you! 👉😘👌

As a misophonia victim, my kryptonite is vocal fry (you know the type), and people eating the goddamn kettle chips that come with everything at the coffee shop. People eat chips continuously for such a long time without a break. Noise canceling headphones were a big win for me.

I actually don't know the type of vocal fry, because I've seen/heard people with very different voices described that way. That term is definitely used to mean different things.

I also have misophonia! It’s the worst & it makes everyday life difficult. Gum snapping is at the top of my list, including all of Todd’s audio assaults. It’s like a panic attack where you have to remove yourself from a sound that makes you think dark thoughts. We’re very good at finding emergency exits. I wouldn’t wish misophonia upon anyone

To get the Marriott points when the production company's card is on the room, just put your card down for incidentals and buy at least one small thing (even just a candy bar), and it will credit your account with all the nights. Some will tell you different, but I work on productions, and this has worked consistently for me for years. Dealing with travel challenges is one of my blocks. Great podcast!

I loved this. Todd is one my favourite comedians. My sister has filled up her house and our dads with all her stuff. It is extremely stressful to know a hoarder. When my father passes I don’t know how I’m going to get her stuff out of there. I ruminate on it daily. Asking a hoarder to get rid of something is like asking them to remove a limb. Like bodybuilding, it’s a highly visible mental illness.

Todd should try the smallest dose of vyvanse, in half. vyvanse is like adderall, if adderall is cocaine and vyvanse is coffee. you can take it and sorta forget you took it, and then when you're happy you're finally sorting your kitchen, you think 'oh yeah. nice. i don't feel anything, I'm just doing something productive'

I was self diagnosed ADHD. Some friends said, "of course you have it." Like Todd, I hoped a pill would help me be with problems like organizing, tidying up, keeping less...... I finally was tested with a psychologist and neurologist and they almost laughed at how far from ADHD I tested. I think he was right with the hard wired comment vs hoarding because of trauma. I know there are a lot of us that fall into this category. Not hoarders, not ADHD, not just imperfect housekeepers, but do need help. I am curious to hear how his test for ADHD turns out.

I was diagnosed with ADHD 2 years ago at 38. Medication changed my life in the most profound ways. I experienced a quiet mind for the first time in my life with my first dose. Never had the slightest idea of what was wrong with me, until I heard another comedian talking about their diagnosis on a podcast. I’m grateful they talked about it or I’d probably still be suffering, or maybe not, as I couldn’t take life anymore.
