took the toefl last week and got 110 (28 in speaking). I made many mistakes while speaking, for example : 1. finishing the speaking early ( I finished 12s early so I did a summary to kill time) 2. I fumbled and stuttered a bit 3. Used a bit of umm and arrhh sounds in the middle. But I made sure that I presented the main ideas clearly. Following are some of my tips to why you should follow the template : 1. You spend less time thinking about sentence formation and more time on the ideas. As the template does most of the work for you, you just need to slot in your ideas into the template 2. Use correct grammer (as much as possible)- template helps for this . 3. Don't panic ( try to visualize that your talking to a friend) 4. Make sure to practice a lot, with good practice the template is easier to remember and should be second nature to you.

Since Michael's videos helped me score 30 on speaking and 27 on writing, I wanted to let everyone know that if you follow the speaking templates and practice just enough to feel confident and speak about 120 words on the 1st and up to 150 words on the other 3 questions, you will score high! Also the templates on writing are as good as they get, practice about 5 essays on each of the two questions and you're going to score 25+ ! Thank you to TOEFL Resources for giving out so much information for free! The gratefulness of your viewers is worth more than any type of money you could be earning by putting a price on your videos... Feel proud of yourself Michael! 😄

Thank you so much, you are amazing. I've got 25 on my speaking test but I needed 26 for California Board of Registered nursing, my exam was on 12th of October. I've started my reading while few students already started their reading test and in the middle of my reading test, they started their speaking test which reduced my reading score because I couldn't concentrate enough to digest the reading content and answer the questions. I've learned from my experience that to go to exam room sooner before everyone else started.

Just got my score for the test I took last week Saturday and I can't believe my eyes! I was able to score 117 (30R, 30L, 27S, and 30W). I wasn't expecting anything more than a 110 after I botched the first speaking question and thought I screwed up some listening items from being distracted. I watched a lot of your speaking and writing videos in addition to resources from TST Prep for two weeks to prepare for the TOEFL. Your templates really helped, and since I was able to practice formatting quickly, I was able to write over 650 words for my independent essay. Definitely couldn't have done it without your channel and all its resources, Michael! Thank you so much :)

hey Michael, just wanted to say thank you for all the templates and the help, i appeared for the exam on November 2 and scored 106! R30, L29, S23, W24 the Reading was a bombshell, got an extra text in this section, the texts were crazy and i was thinking i messed up a lot, nevertheless, the 30 was hella surprising it's a pity i made one goddamn mistake in the Listening, my notes were ideal and i betcha it was an attitude question (the type i hate the most, never get a chance to record professors'/students' reactions) for the Speaking, the microphone was terrible, i had to nearly yell in it in order for the tone line to reach the "normal" zone, moreover, simultaneous speeches heard from all sides were a lil bit confusing, but i scored what my tutor and I expected (23) so disappointed 'bout my Writing, got terrible topic for my independent essay: "do you agree or disagree that celebrities that share their political views in public are doing a good thing" just couldn't come up with solid arguments 'cause it's impossible for such a stupid question, expected to score 30 out of 30 but got 3/5 for the independent (i believe my integrated task was ideal, i mean 5/5) the target score in my university is 79, the average of last year's students' is 92, so i'm 14 points above average ^^' thank you for all again, now the only thing i gotta cope with is the SAT

Hello Sir, First of all, You are amazing, I have learned soooo much from you. Tomorrow is my TOEFL and I'm really confused about two things. One is related to essay and other is to speaking. I can't figure out what I'm supposed to do in those 15-20 seconds allotted for preparing? Since I've already taken the notes by that time while listening and reading. So am I supposed to write down the template that you taught? Or am I supposed to keep the template in mind itself? I would really appreciate if you can guide me and response before my TOEFL.

Hello Micheal. I was wondering if i ask you a question about this templete? I am very confused about the question which is asked in the TOEFL iBT Speaking Practice Questions and your response about it. Becasue the question asks "Using the examples of the peanut bug and the morpho butterfly, explain the concept of revealing coloration". The question asks directly from the listening part ,It is not related to reading part and doesn't say summerize the reading and then explain the concept of... . .So,why should i mention about the reading during my response? I am a bit confused about this. Should i follow your templetes whatever ETS asks or should i skip summarizing the reading part depending on the question? Thanks and best regards..

Thanks one more time for all your effort. I have three questions to ask you. I hope you have the answers I’m looking for. 1. Do human raters know when an student requests a rescore?. Are they able to distinguish when they are evaluating the speaking responses for the first time and when they are doing a rescoring ? 2. Since different human raters check your four speaking responses, when you request a rescore it happens to be the same human rater? Or a new one ? 3. When you request a rescore, who does the task: a human rater or the computer software?. Or both ? Thanks again for your commitment to us. Greatly appreciated among students.

Can you explain how much error margin the test has? especially for speaking This is a test designed for people to take it if there first language is not english so I am guessing that the test should allow a little room for error. For example, in the speaking, if we accidentally stumble or use "uhh" or "umm" Is this true? Also, if we make a error in the speaking, should we go back and resay the word/sentence or just move on?

It is impossible to say, really. The grading system is quite secretive. However, if you want to get a perfect score of 30 points, you can't say "uhhh" or "ummm." I guess the "room for error" depends on your target score.

Is it a problem to use these templates? I mean, can they decrease our score to use templates?

Thanks a lot to you Michel, with your templates speaking and writing were easy for me, but reading and listening were quite hard.

Yeah, that is not a surprise. The questions are really formulaic, so there is really just one way to answer them.
