John and vending machines, what a treat! A certain iconic foodie KZfaqr actually did the same machines a few days ago and rated them highly (6 out of 6). You are right, John, Haneda is a lovely airport with amazing vending machines and so much more. I hope you'll get a good night's sleep. Thank you for your many live streams. Thanks. We will be at Haneda's new Onsen Hotel for our first night when we arrive in Japan in March. Will have to check out those vending machines. By the way thanks for the prior livestream introducing it to us which led to our booking. Dale in Alaska

Flew in to Haneda yesterday. Line up for welcome suica machine was over 50 people. Love your videos, it really helps for first time tourists.

Aloha John. Caught the replay. Haneda Airport looks so different from my visit in 2019. I would look forward to going there several hours before a flight just to walk around and go on an adventure. I wonder how many hours those frozen items would keep? Flying to Hawaii was about 10 hours so if those can last I'd definitely pick up a few to bring home. Sweet livestream John! Mahalo 🤙

Ahh, the livestream begun just as I was taxiing away from Haneda Terminal 3. I should explore these airports a bit more particularly before security but I seem to always rush through and then wonder what to do with the spare 2 hours I have.

A portable microwave !!!??? Now I've heard it all. I thought I was familiar w/ what to expect from "crazy" consumer items only found in Asia (I've traveled extensively through S. Korea); but a Portable Microwave takes the cake. Never in a million years could I have seen that coming.

John's hijinx with the gimbal! Lol. Too bad it was frozen. So it is some sort of ice cream? I would be interested in a follow-up on what it tastes like since you cannot eat it now since it is frozen. I love deserted airports! probably because I work at one and see them so busy most of the time. Much better vending machines in the Japanese ones too, North America's are mostly full of junk food in comparison.

I wish I had time and I *almost* drove to my favorite chicken restaurant in Kobayashi but it was a day trip and I went back to film the fishing village on the other side. But that chicken ….

Most of the vending machines are sold out of the better foods. This is due to the lack of food vendors inside security. If you travel through Haneda, make sure you eat BEFORE going through security as there are not many options to eat. Those that are available are very busy and typically run out of food items.

Have you shown Eki stamps on your channel yet? I havent been able to find any creator there who has talked about them. I've been to Japan before and on my next trip will be doing the length of Japan on Shinkansen and will be getting them in a book as a souvenir. It's not well advertised but something tourists are usually keen on.

Hopefully someone will be able to answer this: for SMBC and Jp post ATM, do the machines only take cards or can you use your bank book at those like the ones attached to the bank?
