In my opinion, Takemitchy is the best version of the “weak, crybaby with empathy n kindness beyond his years and never gives up” archetype. You’re able to feel for him so much and his resilience and stubbornness isn’t cringy because there’s actual meaning and consequences if he gives up. Although for me his empathy for others is the best part of his character.

You do a better job of explaining science in the first 30 seconds than U.S. teachers do in entire curriculums.

Tokyo Revengers is my favourite new anime, it's something about it that makes me keep watching it. I'm not sure why but the whole idea of Japan gangs is so cool and it seems very 'human'.

Honestly, the anime is doing a great adaptation so far. They’ve even added some details which flesh out the characters more.

I personally enjoy his crying. Its so common for heroes to be cool, unflinching badasses. I kind of find it interesting how weak he is, and every time they'd say "Save us, our Crybaby Hero." it felt neat

The manga is so good, if they adapt it properly then it's gonna be real hard to mess it up. Definitely one of the good animes this season.

this story is probably one of the only stories ive read where i truly love the crybaby protagonist because his weakness isnt just a plot device, but a crucial aspect of his character. he makes seemingly one dimensional characters blossom into amazing three dimensional people. such a good story, cant wait for the final arc

I think what fascinates me about this premise is what makes it different from ordinary isekai: The time travel idea is one that's used throughout the story to show how the narrative changes in the future in response to the past. We never forget where the protagonist came from or the life he lived before he jumped through time, which is a great reminder of the stakes at play! I can't get into normal Isekais because it's just such a weird choice to introduce a character's ordinary life only to yank it away immediately in a car crash. If you wanted to set a story in a fantasy RPG setting and never return to the real world, then just have it take place in a fantasy RPG setting and leave out the pointless shit. I might give the manga of this show a try because this seems like a genuinely creative and well thought out idea. Thanks, Scam!

What I liked about this anime was how incredibly realistic it was. The main character behaves exactly like a normal person. He's not cool. He's not strong. He's a bit of a pussy. And when he gets hit, you know that he's actually hurt. If you guys have been in a fight, you would know how much it hurts just to get hit with a single punch or kick. Most animes treat physical hits like it's nothing but in this anime, I can really feel the true harshness of each hit.

I saw the trailer to Tokyo revengers and then came the first and second eps. Immediately the intro song caught my attention and coincidentally fan art for Tokyo revengers popped up on my Pinterest. The character design and everything seemed great. There was a lot of fan art meaning just from the manga alone had gathered a fairly large fandom. I don’t usually have the urge to read a manga but for some reason I had to pull this one up just after watching the couple eps that were out. I had to know more. The show is basically following the manga from panel to panel so far and I’m super happy about it. I caught up to the manga in less than 2 days.. I feel like ive literally struck gold. So I told my friends about it right away because this is a series nobody should be sleeping on. I’m so happy you made a video about Tokyo revengers. It was a great video and I hope the fandom will continue to grow

I visited a few Manga stores in Japan (ok, a lot!) and Tokyo revengers was one of the most displayed Manga I saw there among Spy x Family and Jujutsu Kaisen, One Piece and Haikyuu. So I started reading it and finised it withing 3 weeks. I really enjoyed it :) Nice video, I wonder how many chapters they will adapt.

Bosozoku are still a thing in Japan, and also in the US in some big cities with a large Japanese immigrant population, though they are a lot less common than they were even in the early 2000s. A lot of the ones still around are only still around because of Yakuza connections, and they usually don't get much new blood because they aren't looked at as cool like they used to be as Japanese youth culture has started turning away from violence and made that weird hard turn into hookup and party culture.
