I made a dozen sets of spurs 30 years ago. I would match my spur quality against these, but I never came close in the silver department. The hardest part was cutting the silver and putting it on, Tom Balding is a master!

Great music! I'm from the Sheridan, Wy area. Chris was a great guy... Nice work, by the way!

@@donnysbackroadoutdoors5088 pretty sure he makes every part himself. Yer talking about the overlay I’m pretty sure but he has a few videos showing how to stencil and cut out the overlay. I’ve seen people use them fancy engraving machines that plug in to a computer then cut out the outline that way but most of them fellers I’ve tried to learn from over the years don’t even believe computer engraving and all. But they sure do make everything look as perfect and uniform like it was all done with tapping a few buttons. I do it for the art involved it’s therapy for me but I’m never going to be anywhere as good as these folks. Not many people around where I live in Texas wanting to teach just anyone and I don’t blame them. But I started learning all I was able to after my working spurs got stolen at college because I was too busy to take them to my pickup when I put my bronc spurs on my every day boots for a rodeo. Where I’m from most spur makers had at least a one year wait list last set was two years. But I wanted to learn it so tons of trial and error and just keep praying I get some learnin from the masters of the art. Anyway most makers won’t wanna do overlay work on spurs they didn’t make but I’ve seen crazier things I recon. I think Montana silversmith sell all kinds of overlay stuff but I’m not 100 percent positive they do because I never bought precut overlay work. I just keep trying to get better at cutting my own but I don’t require much flash since I got older lol
