Jimmys a great comedian, I just don't think he fits in with the american audience very well. To date all of my least favorite Jimmy Carr sets tend to be from when hes been over there. I think its just out of his comfort zone, and his material often suffers - but he still finds himself invited a lot due to his reputation for roasting people and doing crowd work style comedy. He's also become a lot more of a host over the years too, and sometimes I think that's affected his style over time as well.

He's never told stories about his life and over saturated the scene with his content. Classic setup, punchline, 1 line comedy, and not many can do his style better. Whatever TRT or juice he's on has made him aggressive and have a huge ego. He used to seem more of a laid back "normal guy" type of dude. I'm not sure if I agree or not. I think Mitch Hedberg was a comedic genius but I can't see him being great at a roast for some reason. Although my favorite comedian is Patrice O'Neal and he destroys at roasting people so you definitely have a good point in that circumstance.
