STFU. If he was not rich and famous he would have been jailed in 1994. If ANYONE had been accused of molesting kids [and settled] why on earth would they continue to do so and invite more scrutiny? He was either hiding in plain sight or the dumbest person on the planet.

@@mediacenterman8583 No he wouldn't, there were never any criminal charges brought forward (settling the civil case did not prevent criminal charges). "why did he continue to do so" - continue to do what? Live his life and spend time with his friends? A guilty person would do anything to evade scrutiny, but Michael knew he wasn't doing anything wrong so he had no reason to change his behaviour In hindsight we know he made himself an easy target for further false accusations, but Michael couldn't possibly know that beforehand, he had to live through it to find out. As Mesereau said in another interview: "Why work when you can sue Michael Jackson?"

I had to set my own mother straight on this subject. She believes in the allegations, I do not. I do not attack her opinion, but I set the stage for a hypothetical scenario of accusing my own stepfather of touching me as a child. He NEVER has, in my opinion he's the best father in the world. But all I have to do is say the word, and my stepfather will die with an asterisk by his name. my accusation would follow my stepfather for the rest of his days here on Earth. And there won't be a damn thing anyone can do about it. Then I listened to her sitting there, silent. The parents were looking for, as Vanessa Bryant would call it, a "financial windfall."

He was very trusting. He wanted to see the good in people(adults) but they always wanted something from him and they were 'YES' men. He learned about those "hangers on" early. He hung around kids because he thought they were innocent and more trusting, truthful, and fun to be around.(which most kids are) What Mike was naive about was how that was gonna look to the public, who ALL had their eyes fixated on MJ. Some with awe and some with envy. I feel bad for MJ. He doesn't deserve the amount of unwarranted hate he gets. He was always innocent of that crap.

Funny, he and his family and fans have been saying this for years and y'all just getting around to realizing he'd been falsely accused. The first accusation was settled for $15 million and paid by Transamerica Insurance to be put into a trust for Jordie Chandler. Jordie later told friends privately that Michael never touched him. Evan Chandler even said on tape that if he went through with the case against Michael he'd win big. He didn't care anything about his son. Also he later attacked his son in 2005 for not testifying against Michael at the trial and Jordie got a restraining order against him. The second was because a maid said her son had been touched and Michael paid about $2M to make her go away but the son later said at Michael's trial, Michael never touched him inappropriately. The Arvizos were seduced by Tom Sneddon, the DA, into accusing Michael of having touched her older son Gavin. The mom, Janet, thought Michael would just settle but this time, because Sneddon had put into law that a case like this had to go to criminal trial before civil, she didn't get a chance to push for a settlement because prosecution lost the criminal case. Gavin later told people that Michael never touched him. None of them will come forward because they are afraid of media coverage. Sneddon shot himself in the foot. For more information about the trial not covered correctly by the media, read Conspiracy by Aphrodite Jones.

MJ was actually advised to settle that case because of the civil litigation preceding the criminal investigation that could have gone to trial. MJ was going to be forced to give a deposition for that civil case that could have been used in the criminal case had it gone to trial, the prosecutors could have used it to manipulate things to fit their case. MJ’s attorneys tried to fight this but the judge kept ruling against them. So, when it finally came down to it they told MJ to settle. It didn’t stop the police department from bringing up charges if it wanted to, Jordan Chandler just refused to cooperate after that and later emancipated from his parents. MJ’s insurance company actually paid the settlement. MJ didn’t “pay off” Jordan Chandler, he just agreed to settle to protect his civil rights had he gone to trial. The laws regarding civil cases preceding criminal cases were changed after this.

In new jersey in boonton there's a restaurant called Michaelangelo's. My step father used to work there. The family that owns it were actually incredibly close to MJ and had known him since the Owner was much younger. The owners kids all stayed with MJ at some points ant he even spent time on holidays with the family. Babysat the kids even at times when he would stay with them. One of them helped work on some of the music that came from the post death album. They've appeared on the Oprah Show After his death as well. They denied any kind of sexual harassment. All the children (now well grown adults) stuck up for him and said he was always a good person. They play his music sometimes and the restaurants name is inspired by him as well.

There are disparities based on income levels. That's why you have terms like "at risk" communities, kids, etc. I didn't say MJ did it, all I did was point out that the argument above doesn't necessarily absolve someone of guilt. The poor families might have saw an opportunity to frame MJ for the money. However, just because all the poor kids were the accusers that doesn't mean they were after money. Simple logic.

I know many people who searched the Gavin Arvizo case know this, but many other people do not. Look up the interview by Aphrodite Jones. She talked about what happened behind the scenes of the Jackson/ Bashir documentary. Michael Jackson didn't want to hold hands with or have Gavin put his head on his shoulder. Martin Bashir wanted him to do it and Michael agreed because he didn't want to make it appear like he didn't care about the kid. What about sharing the bed with Gavin? He didn't sleep in the same bed with him. Search the KZfaq video "Frank Cascio explains why MJ let Gavin Arvizo sleep in his bedroom!" Frank Cascio: "Gavin came to Michael and said, 'Michael, could we sleep in your room tonight?' and Michael looked at me and says, 'I don't know. I think you better ask your mother. Well, we already asked our mother, she says, "Sure, no problem" I'm like, No, somethings odd. This is not right. Now as I was about to tell Gavin he could not sleep in Michael's room, Michael says I have a solution for this. You have to sleep in the room with me. The two children slept on the bed and Michael and I slept on the floor." Gavin's mother won a false civil case against JcPenny after she accused a security guard of beating her. It was later discovered that her husband beat her. She claimed that Michael kept her family at Neverland, but the truth is that Michael was away for most of the time and she used his credit card for his personal use (to pamper herself) while he was away.

What else could he have done since the judge refused to do the Criminal Case before the Civil Case? The defense would have been forced to show their game-plan and alibis in the civil suit, which would allow the prosecutors to bend the dates and stories to fit a new narrative during the criminal suit. Michael Jackson was the only person in American History to be given that treatment and this 'civil before criminal' case dynamic has since been banned in court, which shows you how corrupt that judge was. What is worse is that the criminal case still PROCEEDED after the $20 million civil suit but the case was THROWN OUT by a grand jury for lack of evidence yet all that has remained in the memory of most people is the pay out. Watch Square One on Amazon for more details. If the judge had been fair and had let the criminal suit come first, the case would have thrown out and no civil suit would have happened and no payment. Also a young MJ would have had the stamina and grit to withstand a long court-case in the early 90s compared to the 2005 one which destroyed him mentally and physically.

Michael should've NEVER SETTLED THAT CASE. It's why Gavin Arvizo's mom went to Larry Feldman with the allegations, Larry Feldman is the same lawyer who got the settlement for the Chandler's in 1993 and it's why Wade and James are suing the estate now (well they'll be appealing since their cases got dismissed again). Also in most people's eyes, what innocent man would pay $20 million if he didn't do it? Jordan choosing to stay quiet all these years is also why we have Leaving Neverland, he shouldn't come forward now because of Leaving Neverland, it would just stir up drama but I wish he had testified in 2005 since he was subpoenaed or said something after the trial or after his father killed himself.

Good Afternoon FACTS. Plus Jordan had told MJ's attorney that nothing happened and his father had made up the story and this was shortly after he got the money. 12 years later Jordan had his father arrested for assault due to him attacking him with gym weights and pepper spray after Jordan refused to give him any more money. Jordan cut off ties from his father and after MJ died he did tell his brothers the truth while his friends spoke to the press.

The settlement was definitely the worst mistake/decision he ever made. Sadly people took advantage of him.

Hi MJ fans , please say a prayer everyday so that the two accusers will come out and admit that they lied.or at least a documentary on MJS side will be made.

Why are we still talking about this? For clout? For money? I think it's great MJ still has loyal fans and defenders such as Mr. Tom Mersereau but seriously, I wish instead of continuing to bring this up, we talk about things that are more positive. Like how Thriller is still influential, how great his fashion style was, his playful personality, his many humanitarian contributions. Nobody likes to have their mistakes and dark moments in life constantly talked about as the highlight. Especially when they're trying to move past it, which he did try to do. Anyone who cares about MJ as an artist shouldn't encourage or entertain stuff like this. Please let it go. Please move on.
