Hey Lynne I love tomatoe pie and surprised that so many people haven’t heard of it. Never had your version but will be trying it very soon. Wish I had a garden for fresh tomatoes. Absolutely love the mushrooms. Going to Dollar Tree for a basket. Eat lots of mushrooms . Wish we had a Sam’s.Do you keep them in the fridge. Haven’t seen the cute little dog recently. Is she inside. Tell Andy I want to see him in the kitchen more.❤

I do keep the mushrooms in the fridge. Coco may be outside. And Andy may be napping during this one. He still likes to take a nap.

@@barbcole6639 I don’t think we have those ‘biscuits’ in Australia 🇦🇺 I do know how to make ‘scones’…is that the same type of pastry? 🫶

Idk. I have never made scones. What I used is a canned biscuit dough. You may have something similar in your refrigerated section 🤔🤷

@@lgougeinthekitchen Basically…it’s SR Flour, milk and a pinch 🤏 of salt…gently folded and gently kneaded. Then rolled out thick and cut into circles, baked into puffy rolls. 💁♀️🫶

Would probably work just fine. My homemade biscuits are sr flour shortening and buttermilk rolled out and cut into circles. So about the same

How long did you bake it?

About 15 to 30 minutes. Just until the biscuits are browned on the edges. Time will depend on the size of your pie. But not very long. Easy and delicious!!!

@@Rudymk-ph2xb We have these pourous muslin net bags in Australia 🇦🇺 and paper bags and yes we refrigerate them as they dry out otherwise and some parts go mouldy!
