Because installers don't install appliances that require any kind of ventilation (Intergas are an exception in certain installations for cooling putposes) they almost disregard the ventilation requirements of appliances they encounter. I hope all installers will be reminded to assess the vents they come across to avoid potential risks. It maybe old tech.,but there are loads of appliances still out there waiting to bite the unwary or complacent!

@tomkatgastraining what is the ventilation requirement for a flueless gas fire with a catalytic converter?
@tomkatgastraining3 ай бұрын
100cm2 up to 2.7kw then 55cm2 per kw over 2.7kw in a room
@kudzaichagwiza1613 ай бұрын
@@tomkatgastraining if it doesn't mention how many kw the fire has what do i put?
@tomkatgastraining3 ай бұрын
@@kudzaichagwiza161 the fire should have a data badge with the heat input in kw. If you don’t have one and you don’t have the instructions you will need to speak to the manufacturer.
