Great video! My favorite part of this hobby is the building. Taking an old model and re imagining it and just rebuilding it is the most fun of all. Easily one of my favorite channels. Great work!

Love this build Phil. Came out fantastic. Was also great to see you repurpose all those parts and not just buy new stuff. I add 5+ points on for cutting down on waste, 5+ points keeping it budget friendly and 10+ points for how well it came out. 🔥🔥🔥 120/100 A++

Es muy refrescante volver a ver viejos coches por el canal y más si es para hacer una mejora del coche de stock. Recuerdo que dediqué bastante tiempo en transformar el 12429 a crawler, y lo cierto es que se manejaba muy bien entre los rastreadores verdaderos. Te propongo esa nueva transformación, que será muy divertida de ver. Un placer darte un gran like Phil.

hay bud, little tip for removing frozen screws. put a fillips bit on a soldering iron, hold it in place for a few seconds and heat the screw really hot then use a regular screwdriver to remove it. similar to what you did with lower risk.

I ❤ the look of this Phil. Great wheel/ tire selection. I’ve always said wheels and tires can can totally transform any car!😀 I really thought you were going to put a 2845 mor in it . This 3650 still did an except job! Nice running car!👍🏻👊🏼😀

these remind me of a 2 seater fireteam .this always seemed a bit slower than the 428 replacing the lower front suspension damper links with extra internal spring dampers(thoose cheap blue ones like use on wpl ,works well on front suspension and i think looks cool (the main thing)

I had a Fayee that looked like that chassis design. 1/12 scale. Very very slow. Broke in less than 10 minutes of use. I've since used the suspension and transmission on different custom builds. What you have done here looks amazing.

Fun looking buggy to drive from the looks of things. I like the mix of independent front suspension and then the solid axle at the back. Would be great fun with the stock tyres just bashing about in some woods and over some rocks I imagine! Looks a bit of a pain to work on with all those screws and plastic mind.

This is one of the best looking cars from wltoys and it demands a brushless conversion but with the original tires.Excited to see your video but wish you'd take it to the rough terrain. It could be an interesting rift like rock bouncer. The price however can be high for this conversion... Maybe if they wltoys do it.

I have both 12428 and 12429, the 12429 is indeed a lot slower than the old 12428. My son and me drag race them, all stock ESC and motor. I think the ESC set up is different.

Chuck a sensored system in there and I bet that would crawl well, tyres obviously. But the ground clearance is good the articulation is good might be a tiny bit top heavy but I reckon it'd do well.

Yeah awesome buggy bro, i got one of these a week ago and its so good that im getting a 2nd one end of this month,im in South Africa and i cant seem to find a full 12 scale driver to put in it online lol, but i think on the 2nd one ill put wider wheels on and upgrade the shocks and ajustible steering rods on both, but the brushed motors will remain, brushless is too fast because i want to crawl with them also and only in and around my yard and i hate crashing and rolling them so not too much speed for me thanks, i treat them like i treat my real car 😜, btw i enjoy ur rc videos thanks bro, peace from South Africa ✌

I wish they made 1/8th scale truggy specific hoons to fit the kraton 6s the Team corally line up and also the fireteam The only options out there is the sweep racing road crushers and the jetko tyres which I don't mind but we need more options in the hobby But I like the look of the build The hobao caged buggy or truggy street build would be awesome

If I recall correctly, with the 'reverse' issue on the WLTOYS receiver, you use the other pair of pins on the receiver, so instead of CH1 and CH2, use CH3 or HC4

Use hot solider iron on screws near plastic. Works good but may take a while if your iron don't get really hot.

I got one of those and added a body capable of holding two 6 inch figures and now your giving me some ideas especially those shocks. I swear mine was faster than yours.

Put shorter shocks on it and heavier diff oil in the front.

This is funny because I had paddles on my rockbouncer & took them off & put 17mm gti street tires on it lol I got the adapters & just wanted to see if they fit ok as I’m writing this you just said paddles on this haha I couldn’t keep the front end on the ground on the beach but they are great for backflips lol
